Yes. This. I remember this. And the details too. If we're becoming friends, can you reassure me, that you're not going to throw yourself off a building again? You won't do that again because of the spirits? That's how I understood what you wrote. I appreciate the details, sincerely. But, I do want to be clear about this.

My own brain is rather unique. It attaches to certain ideas, sometimes, relentlessly. Your story? My mind is dwelling on it. It would be good to know that I don't need to worry.
Yes, I leapt off a three story building, and I do not get to do that again. There is a woman I love in Iowa who said she would wind up in a psyche ward with a permanent wound that would not heal if I did that.

I love her too much. But if the powerful, loving, healers, consolers, mothers, Queens from the spirit realm did not feel present, leave signs, dreams, or if I stopped my acts of love and devotion to them, making them shrines , burning incense, I would have been thirsting for death, totally lost, confused , angry.

I would have been dead, in high intensity asylum, or paralyzed before I ever met my friend in Iowa, who I love more than direct family or anyone.

She really needs me. I know no one so passionate about the things I am, and sees eye to eye when I talk about such things. Sometimes she is my only joy , and I am her only joy.

I absolutely cannot hurt her like that, no matter what. And you are my friend. So, I cannot do that to you. :)

Thank God for her. And thank you.

Sounds like a special person

It's great that you found each other

"He tried to unionize the cat? Yeah, I think my dog's a democrat.

Sure we've had some good times
He's been fun to have around,

But if he ever barks
About my right to bear arms
I'm gonna have to have him put down"

[Verse 1]
Well, I think my dog's a democrat
And it breaks my heart
To have to say
An ugly thing like that
But there's a big old pile of evidence
That all points toward the fact
My dog might be a democrat

[Chorus 1]
I pay for all his health care
And I buy everything he eats
I provide him with a place to live
Just to keep him off the streets
But he just acts like he's entitled
Even tried to unionize the cat
Yeah, I think my dog's a democrat

[Verse 2]
He chewed up the Constitution
That I keep on display
And every time Benghazi's on TV
He looks the other way
("What difference, at this point, does it make")
I know he's a liberal
Even if he won't admit it
He pooped on my living room rug
And tried to tell me George Bush did it
https://stubhub.prf.hn/click/camref:1100lqTK8/pubref:category/destination:https://www.stubhub.com/_C-260347
[Verse 3]
He ain't got no papers
And what really gets my goat
Is if he could find a ride to town
Well, I know they'd let him vote
Sure we've had some good times
He's been fun to have around
But if he ever barks
About my right to bear arms
I'm gonna have to have him put down

[Interlude]
(Who's a good boy?)
(Who's a good boy?)

[Chorus 2]
I pay for all his health care
And I buy everything he eats
I provide him with a place to live
Just to keep him off the streets
You'd have to be a Socialist
To ever act like that
So my dog must be a democrat

[Verse 4]
His behavior has been hinting
His mom might be Mrs. Clinton
("Oof-oof-oof-off, oof-oof-oof-oof")
Yeah, I thing my dog's a
Spread-the-wealth
Government-health
Flea-bitten democrat
Dangit

@Balthazzar ,

This is for you: Ekoostic Hookah, from Columbus Ohio. I used to see these guys, regularly, at a dive bar, the South Heidelberg on High St, Ohio State University. The guitarist is really great. He used to come in to restaurant I worked at quite often. I'm curious what you think of this. It's not as heavy as what you've been posting, but, it's good morning music, imo. This video is from a "Couch-tour" during Covid, yearning for freedom, during a lock down.

Have a good one, bud.

I wrote one a few month's ago that might suffice as a more personal answer. The other side of your inquiry, I'll answer with "It's enjoyable music I can relate to".

I titled this one:

"I'll keep walking on"

Leaving out of my hometown
no one has much to say anymore
I've walked 10,000 miles since
8 years drifting now.

I didn't want to leave anyone
Absence was forced on me.
the friends I've known who fell out here,
understood life's too hard to just take easy.

Left behind and moving on
Life and death and losing strong
I'll keep walking on
until it's over - until I'm done.

and I'll keep coming back to where they know me
Where they know me is where I'm from

But I'll keep walking on.

____

God knows it gets lonely
Too much of me left behind
Taken away from the best part of me
forced to leave my son behind.

and no one has much to say anymore
I've been missing the things I call mine.
Family is all I'd ever known
but It wasn't just wasted time

_____

So, I'll keep walking on until it's over
I'll keep walking on until I'm done.
and I'll keep coming back to where they know me
Where they know me is where I'm from

But I'll keep walking on.

Don't get too close to my heart
I fear the losing part of life.
It's left behind and moving on
It's life and death and losing strong
But, I'll keep walking on and holding on until I'm done

or until I've won.

Creative lyrics

Maybe just one more from Brother Todd, then? Speaking of creative lyrics, this is a true story.

"... Hail, hail, Rock and Roll ... "

"In 1963, a rock group named the Kingsmen recorded the song “Louie, Louie.” The popularity of the song and difficulty in discerning the lyrics led some people to suspect the song was obscene. The FBI was asked to investigate whether or not those involved with the song violated laws against the interstate transportation of obscene material. The limited investigation lasted from February to May 1964 and discovered no evidence of obscenity."

And I laid traps for troubadours
Who get killed before they reach Bombay

I spend my nights drinking whiskey and beer
All the pretty women know I'm here
I'm an outlaw baby, outlaw
Just an outlaw, outlaw baby

In truth, they wrote that song for GnR.

One good cover, deserves another... This is, imo, the very best version of this classic ditty:

Outlaws? " ... that's the sound of a man ... working on the chain, gang."
