CMike, you may not care. But, you need to realize that, I am not posting the related links for news and analysis here for you only. It is not like the world is revolving around you. So, please refrain from silly comments like you care or not. You may not care, but I can see others do. Thanks.

Chomsky lost his mind years ago. He used to be a great thinker, now he's a maniac.

Oh, but I disagree.

Back in the Days When Hippies Walked the Earth and I was of the Long Hair Stoned and Liberal bent, I would gobble up the latest Chomsky books on Vietnam and how the US was ONLY THERE FOR THE OIL!!!
Ah yes...
And, my young mind filled with mush and psilocybin went: "Wow! Chomsky knows! The Imperialist Running Dogs of the US are just killing the Vietnamese for their OIL!! Far out man...."
That's the fac' jac'

Chomsky was Never a "great thinker." He was as much of a mental moron then as I was and, as he is now.

When I was in the English department, other students pronounced his name like Chew-misky :)

He also was a theoretical linguist that gave me nightmares back then. I dunno how I passed that Theoretical Linguistics course.

I just read this article, and as much as I hate to admit it, it is too anti-Israeli. It is biased. I am disappointed in Chomsky.

And yet, it seems to me highly likely that Chomsky is correct in asserting that the Israeli government seeks only a return to the norm, rather than a real solution to the Conflict.

Do you recall who it was who in 1973 or so warned against the occupation just as it started? I keep thinking it was Ben-Gurion, but that doesn't sound right -- he died in '73. My memory grows old and misleading.

The Netanyahu Doctrine: Calm for Calm. It's outrageous and outrageously myopic.

The Head of UNWRA that supplies missiles and facilities with which to attack Israel from "civilian" locations says: "‘Israel must stop punishing Gaza’s people?"
Nice.
Sure, that's the ticket.
You people live in a very disturbing world...

And you live in a very ignorant world, as well as a very sick and disturbing one where it's okay to bomb civilian refugee facilities, which is a war crime. UNWRA is a UN humanitarian agency to aid Palestinians.

Bubelah.
Do you read news? Ever?
UNWRA stored missles for Hamas, allowed Hamas to use their buildings to attack from and to build terror tunnels in, and turned missiles over to Hamas once they were exposed as being in UNWRA facilities.
Very humanitarian of them.
Very "civilian" of them.
Very Palestinian of them also.
