Had a great day in the field today. That's me next to a unique hydraulic system the team I supervised excavated. An engineering feat of the medieval Islamic world, shortly before the crusaders marched from the north coast towards Jerusalem, passing through this site's city, finding it empty of residents and army.

Found a Carlos Casteneda book in the library of a bed & breakfast in Broken Hill - YAY!
