I think Obama did use his pardoning power reasonably. Thousands of non-violent drug offenders agree.I'd prefer that Presidents have
no ability to pardon anyone.

National survey says no one believes your banana republic, crackpot schemes you so hoped would win the election for you .It's not my "lawfare".
But I do advocate prosecuting high officials
for crimes they commit. Allowing them total
immunity hasn't served USA well at all.
The crimes were also politically motivated.
And the objection to prosecution is too.
What about governor's?I'd prefer that Presidents have

Same.What about governor's?
Yes. Dead. He's old, he has a very bad diet, he doesn't exercise and he may face more assassination attempts. Realistically no one should be surprised if he's discovered dead in his bed tomorrow morning. In days past we'd just say he died of old age and leave it at that."Dead "? ( Regiomontanus

If the person did nothing illegal, why would they need or accept a pardon?
Yep. That's why pardons are a good thing. But it also is prone to abuse if a single person can decide what's "miscarriage of justice".The pardon is intended to correct miscarriages of justice and the like. Not a "get out of jail free" card for your friends.

Would you like to see him dead ?
Do you think there are many of those in opposition to him who would like to see him dead ?
Do you think there are many who voted against him that would like to see him dead before January ?Eventually, I would hope so. An immortal Trump is even more terrifying than the mortal one.

My guess is yes. But this is true of the opposition to any elected President. I remember those who voted against Obama and Biden having these sentiments (particularly Obama).
I think he will pardon Hunter before he leaves. There are really no consequences for doing it.If he pardons Trump, he should pardon Hunter.
But I think neither one should be pardoned.
Honest answers?Would you like to see him dead ?

So then you "mostly" would approve murder if both Trump and Vance could be taken out together.Honest answers?
No. Mostly because I am reminded of JD Vance's existence.
I expect that I am fairly representative of a very large group.
No one should be surprised - let alone "dismayed" - by that. Trump deserves no better, nor even tries to.
