Quran is free of errors

so does a soul exist, in an atheists perspective?
Depends upon the atheist.
Depends upon what you mean by "soul".

I have met atheists that believe in reincarnation.
I have met some that accept certain concepts of the term "soul".

I'm not an Atheist but from my understanding it can. Atheism is just the Disbelief in God(s). Though it does seem rare for an Atheist to believe in a soul or the afterlife.

there is no athiest doctrine or dogma so there is no athiest perspective. just 1 individual athiest's perspective, the question is flawed, ask 1 that makes sense.

Not really. If you decided to venture out of your close minded mind (?) then you would know that the Quran REALLY is free of errors.

if the quran was meant to be used as a paper weight, then it is indeed free of error, it serves its purposes wonderfully.

Oh, I do understand that, Penguin Lad. We really should endeavor to be more respectful of our Muslim masters.

The Lost One
The Qur'an still believed in the classical geocentric system of the planets.

The Qur'an seemed to state the sun orbit around the earth, instead of the other way around:

It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.

It's only with Copernicus and Galileo, that science have disprove this Ptolemy's geocentric system.

See my last 2 posts in Why the Qur'an has no scientific values thread that explain why.

They float each in an orbit. this is what the Quran says, and this is right.
The moon orbits earth.
and the sun orbits the The galaxy's center.
Period of the Sun's Orbit around the Galaxy (Cosmic Year)
Quran didn't say the the sun orbits the earth,it's pointing to the fact that Sun and moon have different orbits.and This right.
The passage is quite vague, Zhak. Given that Muhammad didn't know what a galaxy was it is unlikely that he knew the sun was orbiting its centre. It is only reasonable to conclude he thought it was orbiting the Earth. That would make the Qur'an's scientific data consistent with the primitive understanding of the 7th century. Any other conclusion is just silly.
