The Sun like all stars runs in an orbit,and will run out of fuel (mass converted to energy)
the next verse 39 says
And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm-leaf.
Then verse 40 says
It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.

Well, I have been told by several Christians that I will burn in Hell and I have been told by several Muslims that I will be cast into the eternal Hellfire, so I am not expecially concerned about being cast into an equally non-existent Hindu variant of the same.
