Lol so that was funny. The kids did not know what a ramp was like I thought they would. Instead they built obstacle courses and I had to explain a ramp to them. Then after the activity when reviewing instead of telling me what they learned from it they started saying the abcs and wanting to write their names

I finally got the chair out my room I never use and got a fold up chair that staff can just unfold if there's a state inspection. I also rearranged my bed room. And took down the broken bed I got. I'll have to wait till I get paid to get a new bed frame. I'll have to ask higher ups if I can get a futon instead There's very little room in my room. So getting a futon I can fold up will save a lot of room.

Actually no. I'm just gonna get a bed frame. I sit on my bed all the time sitting on the floor won't be as comfy.

Just had a meltdown. Still recovering kinda sobbing from it but I feel better. I been feeling on the verge of a meltdown for weeks now. I feel better. I feel the tension in my shoulders that I been holding finally relax. Trying to pull myself together tho I am in a public space.

I apologized. I hate having a meltdown let alone having one then going into a public place when I'm still kinda recovering. Kinda embarrassed.

Now I got my flu shot and covid shot just now. I go home rest a bit.

I feel so much better today. So much lighter. I think that meltdown helped a lot to releasing intense emotions I been ignoring as a result if a recent breakup. I buried myself so hard into my work and ignoring them. Now I feel much lighter and happier today.

I bombed the special occasion speech. I have no clue why. I did everything the rubric said I will admit some grammar mistakes but It took me hours to do. I'm hoping it was a mistake in grading theres no way I got only one point out of 100. I've emailed the teacher to ask what happened. The grammar mistakes shouldn't have dropped it that much looking at the rubric. It really tanked my overall grade in the class I went from 97 to 58 because of it and I dont know how I could've improved that speech it's probably the best I couldve done at the time given how exhuasted I was. I'm surprised I wasnt nonverbal at the time of recording.

Ah that's why. The link didn't work properly somehow I accidently moved my assignment into the trash. The professor now has a working link and is willing to look at it. In case anyone on RF wants to look at the speech I'll repost it here after its graded

we dressing up for a halloween party today. One the other residents been talking all year about wanting to be acopycat for halloween so I offered to let him borrow one of my cat ears and one of my tails for the party. He said no to the tail and no to gloves that look like paws. I did not offer him a collar cuz staff told me not to. He is now walking around with my cat ears that have bells on them a copy cat. I'm dressed in my favorite tail and ears. got a nice collar on. Another resident is dressed like a witch.

They said they want to show people they actually do stuff with the clients. Um...yeah that's nice and all but it seems kinda ableist like oh imma take photos of these disabled people we serve without asking to show that us the able bodied or less disabled people that are in charge of the disabled people here that can't live on their own we good people! Look we actually do things for them!

Except...ask their permission before taking photos

I live at one if these group homes. They didn't to my knowledge have us sign anything regarding photos. If they did I forgot about it.

Tell them your concerns but I bet they had someone sign something at some point. I mean, I used to be on a board of a non profit and we had to sign something so I bet you or someone did.

The company is for profit. They may call themselves nonprofit but that's a lie. They don't give a **** about us residents unless it makes them money. Staff at lower levels often care but higher ups are very shady and after a couple of incidents here i wont get into i dont trust them with jack. That's all I'll say there.

I'm not heavily bothered by it. Seems most the clients here don't mind some even enjoy photos. I don't mind photos myself i just wish she had asked first

My mentally very ill brother just told me to stop texting him (I texted him several weeks ago and he read it then but oh well). He also told me to F off when I said "Sorry, but you don't control me." He is an idiot, I guess.
