RF meet-up and gay wedding in CT

Hey TVOR we can make that 2 diet cokes and I will also buy a beer....:D
This wedding could turn into one of the biggest party events of the year!.. :clap2:

The odds of my being able to attend are probably a million to one, but hey - I think we ought to enjoy the heck out of a monumental day in the lives of our friends. A great day for Midnight is (at the very least) a very good day for TVOR!

As for you, Charity - we might drive up together, and pick Green Gaia up on the way!

I know we have two RFers who live in Maine (I think) and one who lives in Rhode Island. I'd mention them by name but don't want to give out their location publicly without their permission.....however, I REALLY hope they can arrange to come.

I'm sure Mike and I could make some arrangements :) I don't want to speak for him though... But I would love to come :)

We're taking a week off, but John would like to stop in New York if we have time, and I'm determined to go to Maine for a couple days. I have dead ancestors in Waldoboro, and John accepts the fact that even on the honeymoon there must be genealogy. :)

Really? We must talk, I have ancestors buried in Waldoboro as well :) Plus the fact that that's not too far from where Mike and I live now anyway ;)

It's actually looking pretty doable for us to come out there. If we can swing it we may be able to take a 2 week vacation near the end of September to go stay with Tim's mother in NY. That being the case, it's only about a 3 hour drive from there to New Haven. As long as we have the funds for the vacation...looks like we could be there.

Wouldn't that be great if we turned out to be related? My Waldoboro ancestors were German, but some of their children married into the English families.

I've already got my hopes up.

I'd love to go. If our work and vehicle situations call for it, we'll try to be there.

Congrats! And if you do come to Maine, by all means, let us know.

I just remembered your post Draka, that would be so fabulous to meet you......Are you going to arrange for Dwayne or Brad to come also??:D
Well just meeting you would be rewarding enough without the extra thrill...;)
It would be good to get to all go eat together and take some pictures of the event.
I'll bet this will be a wedding day to remember......:D

Hehe cool! My family's German from way back, but migrated to England before going to Maine.

Bill, Willamena just directed me to this thread. I don't know how I managed to miss it. I'm so excited and happy for you and John. Big, big congratulations are in order!

YAY!!! I am so happy for you, Ol' Johnny Boy :D I couldn't really go, since i am some 4000 miles away :(

Don't let that stop my good wishes reaching you though :)

I just found out about this too, from Katzpur's thread about meeting RF'ers. I just wanted to add my congrats and hope everything goes great!! I doubt I will be able to attend, will just be finishing up a 2 month vacation so probably can't ask for more...:(

Thanks, Katz, Don and Challupa.

I'm still waiting for John's boss to confirm his time off for that week, and my patience is wearing very thin. I already went to Vegas this year by myself because she wouldn't let him off work, and I'm about on the verge of going down there and talking to her myself.

How do you not let someone off for their wedding???
