I have said that Putin should negotiate peace. And by the way, the EU is helping both Russian and Ukrainian refugees, so we are pretty neutral, actually.

You are defending them and championing them. That is supporting them.
This is not an explanation as to why you support war criminals and authoritarians.
Attitudes that I sense....
But if they've both done bad things,
then they're both equally bad. Only
those entirely without sin may criticize.
We've no modern equivalent of Caesar's
wife to weigh in, eh. Anyway, I also sense
that there are 2 kinds of Russia supporters...
1) Those who prefer Russia because of
hostility to USA.
2) Those who share Russian values & goals,
eg, expanding Russia to include all former lands,
preserving a conservative Christian order,
belief that ethnic Russians elsewhere must be
defended at all cost against Nazi regimes.
3) Those who would like Russia and USA to get along...because they don't want to be hostile to any nation.
Honestly, all nations outside of my country are pretty equal to me. I want to be friends with all of them.
Why cannot Russia and USA get along?

in exchange for Russia leaving Ukraine, &
compensation the deaths & damage.

Just offer your opinion of my proposal for
Russia unilaterally ending the invasion, &
paying war reparations to Ukraine.
Russians would never elect someone like Obama as president.
Americans did.
And that's something that needs to be underlined,

Obama's administration unleashed all wars possible in the Middle East.
You broached the issue of Russia
electing someone like him.
Race would count against Obama.
During Obama's administration:
1) Libya was destroyed
2) Arab spring destabilized the Mediterranean area
3) Syria was destroyed
4) Hostility between Russia and USA arose
5) Many fundamentalists were empowered.
It was disruptive for the old continent.
