Russian chest thumping - Chinese incursions

It was provoked every step of the way. You have access to everything that lead up to this war at your fingertips.
What led up to this war is Russia's grandiose delusions of empire. This war is nothing but a hissy fit over the fact that Russia no longer exercises hegemonic control over Eastern Europe. Putin is throwing a tempter tantrum because he lost the ability to dictate to the Ukrainians how they may live their lives. And if you think Putin's desires end with Ukraine then I have a bridge to sell you.

What many fail to see is if you aid someone in the war, you in turn are in the war.

If you and your neighbour are feuding and I aid your neighbour, I'm in the feud.

If Russia conquers Ukraine direct conflict with NATO becomes much more likely anyway. Doing nothing and allowing Russia to annex Ukraine would have only emboldened Russia to attack Poland and or the Baltics: China to attack Taiwan. Appeasing Russia would be far more dangerous in the long run.

I didn't doubt any if that. I said...

Do you agree or disagree?

So it's better to appease terrorists, despots, war criminals, etc. by allowing them to act with impunity? Do you actually think it would be wise to set such a precedent?

If you saw someone force their way into your neighbor's home with the intention of raping, robbing, and murdering them, would looking the other way make you complicit?

China and India are secretly laughing at Putin. They are getting discounted oil using Russian State tankers and make a profit selling the refined petrol to the West.Russia is a small part of Europe and a big part of Asia.As Russia self destructs China and India feel more secure from the Russian threat.Russia has plans on China and India electricity grid water in case of the need for cyperwarfare. It pays to be neutral.

US forces invade countries on a routine basis, who stepped in and helped Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Viet Nam, Korea, that were invaded, South and Central American countries whose governments were overthrown? Russia wrongly invades and all of a sudden everyone takes the moral high ground as if, and even while the US is escalating and prolonging it. Washington sees an opportunity and is using Ukraine because they have never been in a war they didn't like.

The old "nobody's perfect" tactic.
More Putin apologetics.
You can't be serious. I don't support war and I am not naive enough to believe crimes committed are one sided, I've seen footage of crimes committed on both sides. Ukraines are fighting over a hatred for Russian speaking Ukraines that wanted no part in the new government that was put in place after the coup in 2014.

That was also wrong, and two wrongs don't make a right. Weak whataboutism.

Helping the Ukrainians rightfully defend themselves is "escalating and prolonging it"? If anything, Ukraine will mop up quicker with the free world's assistance. Your alternative to "escalation and prolongation" is to sacrifice the freedom, land, and lives of innocent people. **** that.

Pointing to sins of one is a common tactic
to justify great wrongs by another.
