Then perhaps he should not try if all he is doing is making it more difficult for others to accept...?

Actually, he is merely revealing HIS beliefs.
I know several Christians who disagree with much of what he believes.

Only if you live in a black and white world.
Unfortunately for some, the world is NOT black and white.

Candy coated Christianity does no one any good. If a person is lost believing lies, then a person is no better off (eternally) believing pretty lies that they find pleasent. Many people call themselve "Christian" for many different reasons. The only ones saved are those that know the LORD as their SAVIOR.

I don't believe that the world is presently black and white, but the grey matter contains some sin. And a little sin is just as harmful as a lot of sin. The wages of both is death.

Your avoidance is duly noted.

If god is all knowing and still set up the 613 rule system, then he flat out set man up to fail.
Just as he did with the Garden of Eden incident.

Otherwise, his sending Jesus strongly indicates that he changed his mind.

Now which is it?

Romans 8:29
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Bummer for you if you're right. Cuz of all that sinning that you do, turning away from your Lord and Savior, disobeying his clear commandments, and all that.

I agree.
I also know that the second you think you can tell the difference between candy coated Christianity and the "real deal", you are walking a really thin line.

As much as you want to believe that you are the 'real deal', you are only guessing that your beliefs are the way God meant for "real Christians" to believe.
You use the Bible to justify your beliefs.

But then, so do those who you would claim are "candy coated".

This does not nothing to assist your argument.
Though it might well be an effective diversion tactic with your choir, to me it is merely an indication that you have nothing more and are just going to start randomly throwing out Bible verses as though the act of tossing Bible verses will help you in some way.

Any examples of "rewording" bad behavior (Honest, Dad, I was shooting craps, just not for money!")?

According to the un-Biblical "once saved, always saved" safety net, once I am saved, I can kill ten people a day, every day, till the day I die, and I am still saved.

Seems to me that Rev 2:18 directly contradicts it.

However, ones works are what will be judged in order to REMAIN in God's good grace.

To deny this is to ignore the parts of the Bible that flat out state you can lose your salvation:
KJV:
Rev 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

No, one's works will be bases for how one is rewarded in heaven. Matthew 6:20
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

I'm showing you that GOD foreknew me, and by allowing the Fall predestined me to be HIS child. This is true for whosoever will.

So basically you can get into heaven once you are saved, but to have a more cushy spot you need to also include good works with your faith?

I have heard tell of this.

I have also heard that once you are saved, "truly" saved, that you will not sin.
