Of course its "speculation" ..

But I guess I find it amazing and quite fascinating the resistance to believe rape is ever driven by "sexual" nature ..to "get sex" ..it must be something else nothing to do with sex..Cant be someone would rape to get sex..I think that is ignorant.

absolutely. Also very naive. People try to get what they want by force all the time. Why on Earth sex would be an exception?

If you're going to equate sex with rape, then you should at least admit you're equating some pretty lousy sex with rape. If the sex ain't lousy, how can you equate it with rape?

I'm going to equate rape with sexual activity.Period.The rapist might think its great sex .

I would assume most rape victims feel disgusting afterwards, yeah. If not at least feel the experience was disgusting, to not use the more intensity appropiate word torture.

It`s not about equaating IMHO. It`s like birds and ostriches.

Not all birds are ostriches, but all ostriches are birds.

then again, maybe some cases of rape I wouldnt define as sex, like the example of a lesbian penetrating a guy with a steel rod. Those would be the exceptions though.

The rapist would be wrong. But perhaps the rapist has never had great sex and thus has no basis for comparison. I can believe that.

But rape IS sex to him. That's the point.

And "great " is subjective anyway.

Anyone who seriously thinks "great" is entirely and utterly subjective should compare a qualified chef's cookery with my own. If they still can honestly call mine "great" after having had their taste buds ripped from their mouth and trammeled on the floor, then more power to them.

As Dallas said, you cant be "wrong" about such subjectives manners.

If his nerve endings were stimulated while he had sexually arousing visual input (woman he likes or likes better than his hand) he is probably going to feel it as a satisfactory experience.

The problem is one of morality and injustice towards another, not that he could be having "far better sex" if he was better seducing.

People have been tricked to think very cheap things are gourmet before.

We both know it`s subjective.

Really? o.o

you think it is not based on personal opinion but on some "objective" fact coming from..."objectivity"? o.o

I dont know, you tell me. o.o

Everything is subjective, so far as I know. But qualified observers are more likely to agree on some things than on others. That's the real difference. The distinction between objective and subjective is largely bogus, since everything is subjective.

Like heterosexual males in prison routinely "having sex" with other males isn't about sex.RIGHT..

In my opinion, the relationship between sex and rape is more complex than has been discussed by other side in this debate. A pox on both your houses!

Think of male prison rape. That is "normal sex" to them.Very satisfying for the rapist. And they aren't even homosexual. They are adapting to GET sexual relief however they may..

If so, why don't they "adapt however they may" via masturbation? Just curious.
