Thats exactly the problem,u dont have to dig deep in Hinduism/Buddhism to learn that God is both "immanent and transcendent".And that creator and is not different from creation.(but it is not the same too).Even a casual read is enough to learn this.
But this not the case with abrahamic concept of God.Time and again in history immanence have been frowned upon in Abrahamic religions.
Infact,I see Jesus was crucified just for a similar reason.He called himself GOD.Christianity unlike Judaism and Islam has quite open emphasis of immanence.
That said,Dharmic religions have a entirely different set of problems tough .

for example Judaism is wholly centered aroud here and now....
on immanance
its transcendance is there...
but Judaism is focused on life, living, sex, food, dance
here....and now
But I get your point, however I dont think ti takes much to see all facets
if one actually bothers to look, which many people within and without said "religions" simply do not do
...
