So...I've officially started testosterone therapy!

Lol. No, I haven't had a surge in libido. It's the same as it's been for a long time. Maybe it'll happen later. Or maybe it won't happen. I don't know. It's different for everyone. I'm at a very early stage of it.
I've heard of the phenomenon. (Guys are pigs, I know.)
Keep us posted to the extent that you're comfortable.

It does happen to a lot of trans men when they start T therapy, because it basically turns you into a teenage boy (for about a year or so and then you start looking your age and settle into it). But I haven't noticed any sexual changes besides genital growth.

I'll keep you guys updated. :D

Ah, yes..... but you're not an old grey demented sod, like me (and Revolting?) :D

Aww, don't put yourself down. The only people who would take such an outrageous amount of testosterone are steroid abusing body building fanatics. But then their nuts shrink and they grow breasts. :D

I actually just received my T prescription, along with all the injection supplies, in the mail just now. I feel so proud. :D

Thank you very much! :bat:

And congratulations to you! I take it that you mean you're going to have SRS? If it's too private, you can PM me.
Eventually. But in my world, where a bitter struggle has been raging in my head, that would probably be the ritual carving of signs onto the flesh of my fallen foe. He was a difficult adversary, and fought for many years, but there are few things fire cannot cleanse. He had some life lines thrown his way recently, but soon I will be giving him the talk on how it's just better to not fight it and just let the darkness embrace him. And then after that I can get on with my life!

How have your thoughts changed throughout the process?
Have you reached the point where you walk into a room & think to yourself....
"Yeah, I'd do her....I'd do her...& her....but not her....or her. OK, that's all of'm."
(This question might sound flippant, but despite an element of mirth, it's serious.)
LMAO!! The finer points of being a dude.

Does this process help with man boobs? I'm having this problem and it's embarrassing :(
If it is gynocemastia you will have to first go to a doctor to find out what is causing it. It could be a hormonal imbalance and boosting your t-levels may help, it could be something in the environment, or it could just be that it is surprisingly not that uncommon for men to develop breasts. It may even be the side effects of medication. The good news is though is that gynocemastia will usually correct itself. Though it cannot be stressed enough that you should go to a doctor as soon as possible, as it could be something serious.

Thanks for the heads up ma'am!

It is built in a weird way that makes me look like a body builder with clothes on from an angle. I've been also doing pushups and light weight lifting but it did not clearly help in the chest area although it noticeable helped losing weight!

I'll take your advices with the utmost gratitude. Thank you!

Stripped shirts are supposed to be good at covering breast growth, to a point, but I don't remember if you want vertical or horizontal stripes. Breast pockets also help.
I began to realize as I got to a certain point in loosing weight that I am not just fat, but that somehow I had developed breasts of my own. I have no idea how it happened though I'm guessing maybe the water from living in a farm/rural area, or maybe a certain habit, but I'm not complaining. And there was one nurse practitioner I went to, for me knees, who started asking me about my testosterone levels after she had me lift my shirt up, and mentioned I needed blood work and maybe shots of testosterone. Never before do I think I have ever seen such a total and utter lump of incompetence. And I finally got to yell at someone for all the stupidity of the medical field, and that felt great to finally get all that out.

Hopefully within a few months I'll be able to start on estrogen, especially since there is now finally a gender therapist in town (versus an 1 1/2 hour drive South) who also takes my insurance. I really didn't want to tell my parents the doctors have been lying to them since the day I was born and they actually did that girl they wanted just before I packed up and moved for college, but with my house severely damaged from flooding and having no more than 15 months before I move I don't want to dump a bunch of money into my place and then leave it, and by the time I get back on my feet after surgery, especially since I am a full time student and haven't really worked much over the past four years, I might just be telling them as I'm packing my things.

I was actually going to ask you if you've started on estrogen yet. I really wish you all the luck. It's such a huge step but you'll feel amazing from it. I'm already feeling way better since starting T.

Do you think your parents will be accepting of it? I'm very sorry about your house. :(
