So Jesus is not God?

Muffled

Jesus in me
your illustration suggests the warden is asking a stranger to die for the prisoner. A stranger dying would not cause any loss to the warden.

But in the case of God, he asked his own firstborn son to die so that others may live. At great cost to himself, God offered his own son as a redeemer of others.

I believe God does not become flesh to father children as the Qu'ran notes. It is God who has endured the cross for us. If anyone else did it would be meaningless and would not reconcile us to God.

How can God die?

If he died, everything would die! Things are made alive and kept alive by God. If he was dead so would we all be including the universe and everything in it.

Jesus is not God, cannot be God and never claimed to be God.

I believe God dies the same way everyone dies. The flesh stops working and the spirit leaves if it know it can.

I believe you arguments don't hold water and saying something is so when the evidence is to the contrary will not make it so.

The bible says that God is the one that puts life and breath into everything.

Psalm 36:9
With you is the source of life;+ By your light we can see light.+

Question: If we can see light by Gods power and the source of our life is from him....from where does the power come for us to continue to see light and live if God is dead?

I believe you don't read with comprehension. God is not dead. The body of Jesus was dead.

If Jesus stayed dead then there is no resurrection for anyone. Jesus rose bodily from the grave to show the power he had over death and to make it final that in him we also may triumph over death.

Jesus is alive for evermore. (Revelation 1:18)

[Even the Jews recognized what Jesus was saying, that He was God.]
Absolutely not!!!! That's what they throught! Jesus always corrected them on that too.

The Jews didnt understand Jesus and so with you too. Jesus never said that he was God, ever. The Jews didnt understand Jesus's language when he stated that he was the son of God. They thought........ as you do.... if your father is a God, then that automatically makes you a God too. And.... they knew Jesus was a man.. (and that is correct). They completely didnt understand Jesus.
Hi Moorea944, the Jews did not think that being the son of God made the person God.

That is one of the trinitarian miscreations. The Jews knew perfectly well what ‘Son of God’ meant. What they were railing about ready to stone Jesus was that he claimed to be the MESSIAH whom they knew would be sent from God… the long awaited messiah they read in the scriptures of the time. They were refusing to believe that Jesus was this messiah.

They said that this pious ordinary looking man could never be the KING they awaited who would free them from their tyrannical Roman rulers. They were looking for a warrior king!

I have done much research into this aspect and can find absolutely no evidence anywhere that points the Jews thinking of a [literal] Son of God!!

Another rendering says, ‘Making yourself EQUAL to God!’

My spirit aches (if there was such a thing!) at the rubbish of what it says… and worse, how anyone can believe that screwed up claim: No one, nothing, nought, zip, naddah… can be EQUAL to an ALMIGHTY one… that is an impossibility backed up by God saying that beside(s) him there was NO OTHER GOD!!

So you see, I hope, that those are TRINITARIAN modifications to the scriptures in their attempt to try again and again to say Jesus is God.

But even saying ‘Equal TO God’ is saying ‘NOT GOD BUT ONE EQUAL TO GOD’.

Trinitarians take it (as intended by their ideology) to mean: ‘Equal means Same’… yet you and I and any sentient being with wisdom, that EQUAL does not mean SAME.., nor can there be such a thing.

Also, if’ ‘Son of God’ means ‘Being God’ then:
  • Adam was God (Luke 3:38)
  • Moses was God
  • Satan was God
  • Holy angels are God
  • King David was God
  • The Elect are God
EVERYONE who does the works of God… everyone who is led by the spirit of God … is a Son of God…
Therefore, BY TRINITY, all who do the works of God IS GOD.

Absurd? Yes!!!!
Believed by Trinitarians? No!!!

So why do they apply it to Jesus and say, YES!!! It’s true.

More absurd: Jesus says he and the Father are One… yet they do not say that Jesus IS THE FATHER.

Yet, if it had been written ‘I and God are one…’ wow!!

What is the difference: The Father is God!!

How can something BE EQUAL to something that IT IS!

I hope no Trinitarians are lawyers and Judges!!!

Or rather, that none of them claim to be RIGHTEOUSLY SO!!

Yes, the body of Jesus was dead & the life of Jesus was dead.,....otherwise, can you explain why he need to be resurrected? If he was not really dead, then the resurrection is a lie??

Receiving Jesus Christ as your Messiah means you repent of your sins and was also part of the whole conversation I was having with another person in the thread. It is amazing to me the assumptions and comments you have made instead of asking or actually reading what was already said. The types of comments you made in your previous post go against the purpose of this forum in my opinion.
‘Christ’ and ‘Messiah’ are the same thing!!!!

  • Christ: Greek
  • Messiah: Hebrew
Same thing.

Yes, i believe that. He was raised from the dead the bible says. So if the bible writer says that he was 'raised from the dead' then he really did die.

God cannot die, therefore Jesus could not have been God at all.

Yes I do understand but you obviously don’t, are you born again and a believer yourself?
Paul is referring to the ELECT of God. He is not referring to ordinary ‘Christians’.

Too many times I see people read the Bible and think that they are one of the SELECTED FEW who have their names written in the book of life ‘from before the beginning of time!’

And, by the way, no one but these few elect go to Heaven as kings and priests with Christ/Messiah.

The majority who are saved by Jesus AT THE JUDGEMENT SEAT in the second resurrection will occupy the earth - will live in creation and fulfil what God proposed from the beginning - ‘Fill the earth and make it a beautiful garden’ (Paraphrased)… does anyone remember what God created mankind for and said to him in the first place!???

GOD raised up Jesus Christ from the dead.

Trinitarians crudely altered the wordings in the Bible to make it seem that Jesus raised himself up from the dead … but that is an impossibility because scriptures tells us that it was the Father who did so… moreover Jesus AGONISED in the garden the night before and wondered if the Father could indeed raise him back up: ‘Father, if there could be another way!’

If Jesus was God (I hate writing that because it’s like PROVING that two plus two equals four to advanced mathematicians!!!) then not only could not die but he wouldn’t have considered that ‘there might be another way!!’

Its such a sad and sorry dogma! The trinity hides the person of God from his creation. Anyone who beleives the trinity is keeping himself alientated from God. If a person worships anyone in place of God himself, he is an idolator and Idolators will not inherit Gods Kingdom.

Satan was very clever in creating this God dishonoring dogma. He has cheated millions of people from knowing our creator and caused them to be idolators. How sad.

If a person is born again they are considered the elect of God, they are the Bride of Christ, Member of the Body of Christ, their names are written in the Book of Life and the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of this inheritance. Ephesians, 2Peter
