Just a bit off topic:
According to a point of view, the first human was male AND female. Not two different beings but one with both genders. Since God doesn’t really have a gender but is rather both (or none),the first human was created in this “same image”, having both genders, and was named “Adam”.
Note: “Adam” in Hebrew it means just plain “human” and
not “man” as in male human. This is a very common mistake we all make, assuming that “Adam” is male. It isn't. It's just "human".
Later, Adam was feeling lonely, so God seperated Adam to two humans: a male one (that kept the name “Adam”) and a female one (that was later named “Eve”).
The conclusion of separation comes from the fact that God didn’t start a new human from scratch, but used a piece of Adam (his side).
I just always thought that’s an interesting topic from Genesis and decided to share
.
