Well evidently one should pay more than the other.
So evidently its about money, not health care
Sort of. It's about haves vs have-nots.

I like the way the indigenous PNW tribes did it. Once or twice a year the community gathered, and he who gave away the most resources was the most important (it was called a potlatch, where we get the idea for a potluck,), the "big chief". This mentality ensures that we are always taking care of each other imo..

Again penalize those who do, reward those who don't.
Yes
That will get your more of those who don't in the long run.
Doubtful, most people are industrious. Imo
You can work and pay for your health care or not work and get it free.
Mines was free after only a limited time of work.
Some will choose to fish every day and take theirs free.
That will never change. So why bring it up?

Yeah that worked/was good in those days. When neighbors helped neighbors. That's not what we are talking about.

It has been working in most modern countries for decades now.

We are not talking about fish. We are talking about healthcare. People don't eat healthcare. They don't live in healthcare. People do not clothes themselves with healthcare. They do not drive healthcare. People still have to buy food, pay rent etc. But if they get sick, they can get care.

Where is the incentive?
Doubtful, most people are industrious. Imo
If its free, many will go out of their way to get it IMO

Yeah military service, PTSD, loss of hearing, etc guarantees that.
That will never change. So why bring it up?
Because it is an issue. More will choose fishing if they get things for free.

I worked all my life to have. If I could get it all for free there would be no incentive to work

Welfare, foodstamps, section 8, etc etc. No work needed.

Completely missed the point of the post you replied to. I was pointing out that we are not talking about "getting it all for free". We are talking about healthcare.

But now I am done talking about healthcare.

Have a good night.
Btw, lots of people work just for the health care.
Give them free health care, no need to work. More time for fishing.

I get paid a disability check by the govt monthly and I still work, gladly. Seems to defeat your argument.
Yep military disability can do that.

My point is if you need it or earned it then get it.

If you think you deserve it because you don't want to work, then too bad.

Life gives us what we put into it. Too many buy their wants and then beg for their needs.

They say life is short. Life is the longest thing any of us will ever do.

They say life is tough. How tough life is depends on the effort you put forth.

My work ethic has nothing to do with my military service.

Which is why I didn't mention it outright.

Supporting those beneath us is the governments and our duty.

As I know you don't think so. We can call it as it is. A stalemate. I'm not wasting my energy on arguing.

Examples...

-I know someone who draws 100% disability but mma fights.

-I know someone who is paralyzed from the waist down but works 40 hours a week and doesn't draw disability.

Who do you think if respect more?

When I said "Yep military disability can do that" I am referring to people on regular disability are limited to how much they can work or make.
Which is why I didn't mention it outright.
I already knew that
Supporting those beneath us is the governments and our duty.
I will support those that try over those that don't try any day.

Unless you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth, its up to you to go after and get that silver spoon.
