You know what? I did that and fixed my disposal myself but could not fix my washer lid to save my life. Finally I just thought "Screw it," and left it alone.Better hit Google and learn some DYI.
We were having a bathroom remodeled some years ago. When the contractor saw the subfloor there was a big OOPS. Both bathrooms which were back to back were involved so we wound up having to use the close by McDonalds to do what needed to be done for a very few days - not worth getting a portapotty. Not fun. And not cheap either.Often ya just gotta start tearing out walls, floors, &
ceilings until there's access for diagnosis, repair, & rehab.
It'll cost what it'll cost.
For those that want to push radical trans agendas nothing. For those that think schools and government shouldn't be in the business of promoting sex changes for children, it is an issue. Nor was this done in a vacuum. Gov. Walz has also other things to promote the state as a "trans sanctuary". For example signing an executive order that shields patients, parents and providers from punishment by other states for seeking and delivering such care. Which allows people to bring children from other states, against the wishes of parents, and get the children's genitals surgically altered without any recourse for the parents.Cool. What's the problem?
There is a large distance between "pushing trans agendas" and politically representing citizens who "believe in trans agendas."For those that want to push radical trans agendas nothing. I think you may be a little confused. "Judge ye not, lest ye be judged" is a Christian New Testament-ism. I am not a Christian and not bound by that. More importantly giving succor to people that want to lop off the gonads of little boys or eviscerate the mammaries of little girls isn't showing love. Quite the opposite, it promotes evil. There is a large distance between "pushing trans agendas" and politically representing citizens who "believe in trans agendas."
Do you not agree that we should "judge not" and show love and care for all?
Jesus was a devout Jew, so I take the words noted as his to follow Judaism. But I have no problem double-checking.I think you may be a little confused. "Judge ye not, lest ye be judged" is a Christian New Testament-ism. I am not a Christian and not bound by that.
Who says your blood is redder than his? (Talmud - Sanhedrin 74a)
My personal belief is that these decisions should be made by the individual after the age of 25. However, I also believe in the freedom for individuals to make that decision.More importantly giving succor to people that want to lop off the gonads of little boys or eviscerate the mammaries of little girls isn't showing love. That doesn't follow. Jesus being a Jew and the "Jewishness" of the Christian New Testament are separate things.Jesus was a devout Jew, so I take the words noted as his to follow Judaism. But I have no problem double-checking.
But calling out a behavior as contrary to halacha isn't judging. Surgical alteration (mutilation really) of children's genitals and sexual parts is contrary to TaNaKh. That isn't anyone judging anything. That is fact."Our sages ask, when are you allowed to judge another person? The answer: Never. The explanation given is as follows:
But that isn't what Gov Walz has supported. He is promoting people being able to perform sex changing alterations on children with impunity. My personal belief is that these decisions should be made by the individual after the age of 25. However, I also believe in the freedom for individuals to make that decision.
Others have fared worse then your acquaintance. I know someone that had a sex change and afterwards committed suicide because of it. And that person was an adult. Now consider that there are children, who are less capable of handling such trauma than an adult, being put in the same place.I have a personal experience in this matter, and that individual changed their mind after the hormone replacement therapy and breast enhancement that was a healthcare nightmare. They are absolutely certain they were born in the wrong body from the age of 5, without the slightest hesitation, but learned to love themselves "as is." I'm still grateful they had the opportunity to explore their dream and decide for themself.
Since you are anti-trans, you should certainly vote against him if that was even a question. His executive order basically says that they're not bound by anti-trans laws in other states which is entirely consistent with his positions over the years. And I agree with him.For those that want to push radical trans agendas nothing. Harris will do nothing to enact any of these reforms. Just as Biden did nothing to enact any of these reforms in his long career as an empty suit in the Senate. The whole Democratic Party are career politicians feeding at corporate money troth and at the taxpayer’s expense. They aren’t going to do a thing to rock the profit boat for their corporate masters.Ok thanks, I don't think Harris is against these things.
Understood in the big picture. That doesn't follow. Jesus being a Jew and the "Jewishness" of the Christian New Testament are separate things.
Outside of circumcision, yes. But does other plastic or reconstructive procedures also be contrary to halacha? This is just me taking opportunity to learn. But calling out a behavior as contrary to halacha isn't judging. Surgical alteration (mutilation really) of children's genitals and sexual parts is contrary to TaNaKh. That isn't anyone judging anything. That is fact.
I can't imagine it being that raw, but I haven't read the actual document in discussion. But that isn't what Gov Walz has supported. He is promoting people being able to perform sex changing alterations on children with impunity.
I completely agree. Personally I think everyone should learn to live and love themselves as is. But I also believe in exceptions. No child should have to suffer with cleft palate, and my son would not have lived beyond 36 hours old without invasive surgery and reconstruction. As an adult he was offered "repair" surgery and said nope -- he was just fine.Others have fared worse then your acquaintance. I know someone that had a sex change and afterwards committed suicide because of it. And that person was an adult. Well, water doesn’t run uphill, so that has to be coming from somewhere else. Perhaps a toilet on a floor above, or perhaps where the waste pipe exits through the roof. Or perhaps a water supply line in the wall or ceiling is leaking.Yes! That's exactly what happened (the rocking toilet thing). I've been telling everybody it seems like a problem for a loooong time now.
It seems to be in the wall beside and the ceiling above as well, somehow.
The sooner the leak gets found and stopped, the sooner the mess can dry out, and repairs can be made. If you can’t use the toilet anyway, why wait? And there's definitely mold; I can smell it.
Nobody has pulled all the flooring up yet. I'm afraid to see what that's going to look like.
I don’t know anything about recourse for tenants In that situation. But there may be some help available in your area. Your apartment is not legally livable without a functional toilet. Or if the mold is a health hazard. You're definitely onto something. Our landlord has been known for being quite the cheap skate. Which is probably why we're in this mess to begin with. Honestly I'm surprised he hasn't just given us a bucket to go in at this point.
I’ve done a lot of remodeling of apartments over the years. Mostly in Chicago but some here as well. I hope your landlord will get on this soon. It sounds like a serious problem. And that's exactly what has happened.
Thanks for your all your helpful knowledge. Are you a contractor or something?
I never wrote that I am "anti-trans". You are wrong in your characterization of his executive order. It directly undermines the rights of citizens of other states and subverts the laws of other states.Since you are anti-trans, you should certainly vote against him if that was even a question. His executive order basically says that they're not bound by anti-trans laws in other states which is entirely consistent with his positions over the years. And I agree with him.
Oligarchs have much too much power - true. SCOTUS made it worse by saying money is speech which increased their power. This is a world-wide problem if you pay attention to what goes on in many nations. Solving it is needed.Harris will do nothing to enact any of these reforms. Just as Biden did nothing to enact any of these reforms in his long career as an empty suit in the Senate. The whole Democratic Party are career politicians feeding at corporate money troth and at the taxpayer’s expense. They aren’t going to do a thing to rock the profit boat for their corporate masters.
BUT, they also aren’t out to burn the whole country to the ground just to keep their own sorry butts or of jail.
There is no more radical agenda in America than Trump's. Trump apologists shouldn't use the word radical to refer to anything else.radical trans agendas
Same answer. People who promote Trump shouldn't accuse anyone or anything else of being evil.it promotes evil.
One state is not subject to the law of another state according to the Constitution. If interstate issues are concerned it's up to the federal government to take that up.I never wrote that I am "anti-trans". You are wrong in your characterization of his executive order. It directly undermines the rights of citizens of other states and subverts the laws of other states.
And Vance lied about Walz. Who woulda thunk it? He did not retire when his unit was called up. His unit was called up two months after he retired. Also with his only partially restored hearing he probably would never be sent anywhere near battle. I cannot remember him claiming to have gone to war. It is rather obvious that if called he would have gone:
Yep. Semper fidelis.
MAGA bull****. It's another set of "swift boat" lies from the party of lying. Trump and Vance are puppets of Putin and I would not be surprised to find Putin is involved in the US election because winning his war of aggression in Europe depends on having appeasers run the US.
Yep. Semper fidelis.
