I don`t personally see how strong feelings you might have for someone have to express themselves physically. I like my male golfing friends and often go on holiday with them , but sexually , no thanks. I might have feelings for my friend`s wife for example or for pornography , but I can show restraint and not give in to these feelings or indulge myself by responding to these fantasies.
Friend =/= significant other. There is a stark difference between the feelings we have for a good mate, a mother, a sister or a brother and the person we are IN LOVE with. Gay people can say the same about their partner's friends. What is your point exactly? That people can act like civilized people? That gay people AND ONLY gay people should not have any modicum of happiness and either lie to God and themselves by forcing themselves into a heterosexual relationship or simply refrain from love altogether? Wow. That's kind of cruel to ask when you can marry your partner without incident.

I cannot imagine why homosexuality would appeal to any man . The sight and smell of excrement is abhorrent to all people , yet that area of the anatomy seems to feature quite prominently. Forcing entry up to the elbow , with all the associated pain , tearing of flesh , and of course excrement.

That`s why IMO it`s not practiced by 95% of the population of the world.

As I said, it`s a lifestyle that represents something missing in the God / man relationship which can express itself in different ways until conversion.

Quote from the web.

Link from CDC , Centre for disease control and prevention (in America )

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) have been increasing among gay and bisexual men. Recent increases in syphilis cases have been documented across the country. In 2008, men who have sex with men (MSM) accounted for 63% of primary and secondary syphilis cases in the United States. MSM often are diagnosed with other bacterial STDs, including chlamydia and gonorrhea infections.

Gay and bisexual men can be infected with HPV (Human Papillomavirus), the most common STD in the United States. Some types of HPV cause genital and anal warts and some can lead to the development of anal and oral cancer. Men who have sex with men are 17 times more likely to develop anal cancer than heterosexual men. Men who are HIV-positive are even more likely than those who are uninfected to develop anal cancer. See Primary and Secondary Syphilis—Reported Cases, 2008, by Sexual Orientation.

The Bible says don`t be promiscuous and don`t practice homosexuality as it will damage you or your future family or it will kill you.

Fisting isn't a homosexual activity. It can be practiced by gay people as well as heterosexuals. All you need is someone's anus. Scat is a sexual fetish, among heterosexuals and homosexuals. Not everyone regardless of sexuality, but it's a fetish all the same.
And if one does not like excrement then basic hygiene would solve your fisting problem pretty bloody easily. Do you know nothing of sexual etiquette?
Did sex ed not teach you the various ways to combat STD's and the warning signs of STD's themselves? Hint, the answer wasn't for everyone to spontaneously become complete heterosexuals.

Also I happen to enjoy red tea with lots of sugar. My friend prefers coffee which tastes disgusting to me, therefore I cannot simply fathom why anyone would be a coffee drinker. Perhaps people have different preferences, tastes and enjoy/look for different things?

Comparing Ted Bundy, a psychopath, to being gay is quite possibly the worst insult I have to date ever seen. Thanks for that in the middle of the night.

Sorry that was badly expressed and not intended. I was referring to our discussion about actions starting with meditations and fantasies that all.

I understood that Chess but you have to sit on my side of this discussion. To compare the two really is way off base. I know you probably didn't mean for it to be that way but it was nonetheless. I hope you understand that.

That`s the point, the LGBT community are forcing their ( analogy , coffee drinking ) lifestyle on everyone else , looking like a desperate attempt to be accepted . Get on with it if you must , but why force the whole country to legislate about it., and persecute those who find the whole thing against their own instincts.

Remember this my friend , We are a fallen race ,and imperfect , Christ didn`t come for nothing., He came to save us from our fallen human nature.

Faithful hetrosexual marriages exclude all this pain , cost, misery, death, etc as shown in the latest figures from the

Centre for Disease Control .

How are STDs spread?

  • STDs are spread through sexual contact with someone who has an STD. Sexual contact includes oral, anal, and vaginal sex, as well as genital skin-to-skin contact.
  • Some STDs—like HIV, chlamydia and gonorrhea—are spread through sexual fluids, like semen. Other STDs, including HIV and hepatitis B, are also spread through blood. Genital herpes, syphilis, and human papillomavirus (HPV) are most often spread through genital skin-to-skin contact.

What are the signs and symptoms of STDs?

  • Most STDs have no signs or symptoms, so you (or your partner) could be infected and not know it.
  • The only way to know your STD status is to get tested (you can search for a clinic here).
  • Having an STD such as herpes makes it easier to get HIV, so it’s important to get tested to protect your health and the health of your partner
Please explain to me how this is okay , and how you think this is God`s perfect plan for mankind. The human race would disappear , with no conceptions and all this disease.

Well, for one thing, I have never in my life tried to force my lifestyle on anyone else. I've never marched in a gay pride event nor forced a business to make something for me regarding my being gay, or any of that. In point of fact, my relationship with my partner was no different than you if you are married. All Norma and I wanted was a normal life with normal couples rights, such as my right to put her on my insurance and not to be targeted by homophobic people. (not saying you are). Where does any of the above stats prove that those diseases don't affect heterosexuals? In a word, it doesn't. And what "pain, misery, cost and death" are you referring to here? Perhaps the death of my partner because right wing pundit Christians decided we could not marry and have those rights? Please tell me what pain doesn't come of a straight man or woman getting an STD and passing that to their partner? Or divorcing them, or committing adultery or the cost of divorce, or the emotional and psychological impact on any children? I don't think you are seeing this from my side of things Chess.

Not encourage, tolerate.
Yes I do not encourage such practices , especially among men
And launched from a logical angle
They and members of the human body functions
One of the natural laws
When I say the word , it means also the hands and hand function naturally
When I say it means the eye and eye function also
And when I say the word , it means masterminded this member function of the body
So mentally and logically
And they have rejected these practices even without the use of religion
Whoever believes in natural law rejects the practice of sex between men

Da hell does homosexuality even have to do with Safe Sexual Education? We learnt about safe sexual practices, like always wearing condoms when engaging in any heterosexual or homosexual sexual practices, open frank talks with our sexual partner/s, recognizing the symptoms of various STD's, encouraging us to go to medical professionals for any concerns and stressing the importance of regular testing. I mean we discussed homosexuality, but most people (at least in my grade) didn't give a damn one way or the other. Because they weren't homophobic douchenozzles, I suppose. I don't know.

Did you know that all the STDs you just listed occurs frequently among heterosexuals, especially the youth? It's almost like sexual promiscuity without any precautions and not sexual orientation in and of itself will get you sexually transmitted diseases or something. Shocker.

As for "forcing their lifestyle on the rest of us" I seem to recall that Christians are the ones with no real qualms about such behavior themselves. What with their demands that every legal marriage fall in line with their particular beliefs. And I do believe that it's Ex Gay "therapy" not Ex Straight therapy. Isn't there something to be said for throwing stones in glass houses? Even Jesus wasn't a fan of hypocrisy. (Not saying you specifically are doing this and I'm speaking more generally. But it's still a bit rich to be a Christian heterosexual to claim gay people are the ones trying to force their "lifestyle" onto everyone else whilst such things actively occur.)

As for faithful heterosexual marriages. Provided they aren't born HIV positive or contracted another STD (either through rape or consensual sex with a previous faithful partner) you mean? Marriage doesn't magically absolve you of STD's. Neither does being heterosexual for that matter. Having safe sex and getting regularly tested is important regardless of whether or not one is gay. Unless you (gay or straight) have only one partner in your entire life who themselves weren't infected by anything sexually transmitted. And even then, who knows? You might come across some HIV positive ********* who purposely spits at your face (maybe you're a cop and a prisoner does this to you.)

Please explain to me how this is okay , and how you think this is God`s perfect plan for mankind. The human race would disappear , with no conceptions and all this disease.

Homosexuality didn't magically create diseases. They're diseases.
Two gay people who are not infected by any STD will not magically create a disease when they have sex. You do know this, right?

Whilst I do have sympathetic leanings towards Lord Jesus Christ and the Abrahamic religions in general, I'm Hindu mate, true with a bit of Catholic blend. But we just sort of accept the way things are for that is up to God to decide and focus on trying to follow our own path and generally mind our own business, really. And usually we're pretty "meh" on the whole gay thing. So your musings about what your particular interpretation of God doesn't mean a whole lot to me personally. For while I follow the same God, I'm not limited by your interpretations. Nor do I expect you to follow mine. Also we don't have a problem with respectfully discarding holy scripture if they become obsolete. So you're probably preaching the wrong choir here, mate.

Also, just FYI according to our own sexual reproduction strategy if the entire wold were gay (and that's an if so large that even speculative fiction authors wouldn't bother pondering for lack of real honest to god reason to) all that would happen is surrogacy would skyrocket. Interestingly, though, if we were all men or all women (regardless of sexual orientation) we actually would die off. Yet, with males and females currently at 50% roughly respectively, which is a lot higher than the 8 or so % of gay people, no one really yells about what would happen if we were all male or all female. Nor do they ponder the consequences of such a scenario.

It's okay because it's basically innocuous. STD's can easily apply to heterosexuals, as they are spread through EITHER heterosexual or homosexual sexual practices among those already infected. As for the higher STD rates, that's pretty much expected when you have a more limited population source to actually have sex with. The answer is not to demand they be heterosexual, the answer is complete, comprehensive safe sexual education. More condoms and actively combat complacency which has risen because of our expectation that medical science can just cure us even if we do get infected (which is true mostly. But the clap can be pretty worrisome for gals.) Also if homosexuality is the scourge of STD's why then is lesbian sex not often associated with higher rates of STD's? They're gay too! Perhaps it's more to do with unsafe promiscuity than actual honest to god sexual orientation?

Only in your opinion Mahasn. With all due respect, gay people are as natural as you and sex between two consenting partners is as natural as it gets. Unless one is so strict in their religious beliefs that they only practice the missionary position and have no oral sex or anal, straights can be as odd sexually as gay people.

An irrational fear of gays. From Wikipedia: Homophobia encompasses a range of negative attitudes and feelings toward homosexuality or people who are identified or perceived as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT).[1][2][3] It can be expressed as antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, or hatred, may be based on irrational fear, and is sometimes related to religious beliefs.[4]

And btw Smart Gut, your English is just dandy dear friend. You have no worries there. :yum:

Like a racist, only against gay people. And your English is fine.

Cool, thanks guys :D

I'm trying to find out if the Abrahamic religions are homophobic. According to that definition, I don't see they are. It was a passing question I thought I'd ask here is all.

Cheers, ladies :D

okay but 95 % of the population are not classed as homosexual.. All those who are homosexual that I know have unbalanced mother / father relationships , possibly either dad or mum is too domineering. Abuse by an uncle or family member can also awaken such feelings . Of course I understand some have felt that way since puberty without any of these negative influences. Whatever, it`s surely still a choice they make to be sexually active and even promiscuous, therein lies the problem, choices , which God allows in your free will . That free will is your right but God hopes you will freely choose His ways, that`s why you were created, to choose to follow Him through Christ.

I`m not personally judging anyone , so I don`t really appreciate this conversation . As I said before the main sickness in society is separation from God . Redemption and salvation is on offer through the work and person of Christ, according to the Bible , and according to the personal experience of millions of individuals throughout the world.
How on earth do you not see the following as "judging homosexuals", because I sure do. Don't really see a way around it. You are just basing your "judgment" on your religious BELIEFS.

Who is to say that is was not known and was simply excluded because it sort of negates the need for a church that has a head, like the RCC. Perhaps Thomas and all the other extant gospels were left out on purpose to make the RCC more powerful and have people adhere to the leaders of said church.
At the time the canon was set, there was no "RCC." There was only "the Church." There was a bishop of Rome, but he was not seen to be the undisputed leader of the whole church -- only the bishop of Rome. No, Thomas was unknown until its discovery in the last century. The other extant gospels were left out more for either authentication problems, or for theological reasons.

I, for one, do not believe in absolutes and, thus, find it unreasonable to believe in natural law as defined below. But, that being said, we should all be welcomed to hold differing beliefs on this issue, as we certainly do not know for sure either way.

LOL...so true. But drunk or sober, he was the one who had sex with them. And yes, I can understand how that would be considered rape by many. The problem of women doing these things to men is clearly documented, albeit under reported. In no way am I excusing the actions of these women.
We have to remember (in all seriousness) that these sorts of acts, the position of women/daughters, and the primacy of men were all viewed much, much differently that time and place. We have to be very careful about assigning modern meaning and inferences to ancient texts like this. Plus, we have to consider that the story is highly metaphorical -- it's not a news story of a historical event. We have to look deeper for what the circumstance alludes to.

sojourner

Well, I certainly cannot agree with that one Sojourner. IMO, most religions have the ability and the means of achieving communion with God.
That's not what I said, though. "Reconciling humanity" isn't at all the same thing as "achieving communion." Nor do other religions' gods become Incarnate for that express purpose.
