The Flat Earth has the standard diameter 24k miles. Many individuals and official organizations do indeed have full data and knowledge of The Flat Earth. The "Atmospheric Nuclear Tests" in the 1950-60s were unsuccessful attempts to blast a hole in the firmament. The quarantine upon all private entry into Antarctica agreed upon by all nations shows their need to disallow public information and testimony of Antarctica being the Flat Earth barrier. All amateur rockets with nonfisheye lenses cameras ever having been sent up to 100k ft. show a perfectly flat horizon.

If that city was considered the world, then that was the world. "All the eye could see", basically.



Specifically, the expanse of the sky. Does it look like a dome? Yes it does. Go look up into the sky.

You may also read the description another way. You may see the firmament as I do, as a dimensional barrier between "the water/chaos" from "the water/ordered world or atmosphere/space". What the Jews believed then becomes of no importance, as the Bible can be read many ways, not just one. It can state the Earth is flat or round. If this book is inspired by the god of those people, it must not be be written in a double language, which it is. The book can be taken many different ways. I also read Isaiah 40:22 as teaching a flat, circular Earth. (Circular not meaning spherical, as Hebrew has a different word for sphere, e.g. duwr in Isa 22:18).

Surely all of the private individuals and organisations that travel all over the world, independently measuring speed, distance and time, would quickly become aware of any inconsistencies.

The distance we covered on those journeys and the time they took were exactly as expected based on the shape and size of the UK on a globe. If the UK had been the shape and size as on a polar projection map, those relative distances would be different.

It could well be different enough in the UK to notice, especially with more personal travel and more accurate equipment, but it would certainly be different enough in places which are most significantly affected by the distortion (actually places like Australia rather than Greenland – I mixed up my projections and you didn’t notice), and also very apparent to the various sailors who have circumnavigated Antarctica.

Actually, The Isle of English/Scotland is not the center of the world as a major land mass. Far from it, the size of your dear island is quite small, and being so would have undetectable projection distortion as you so astutely motored its length and breadth.

No, as I have stated multiple times in this thread, I have not seen any edge, nor do I believe that there is an edge to my idea of a flat earth.

As I have also stated, no round-Earthers have either admitted that they have seen the spherical Earth for themselves, directly, with their own eyes.

I stated that I lean towards the belief that the earth is flat. Round-Earthers also believe that the earth is spherical. There is no double-standard.

If I "hold unrealistic standards", then so do round-Earthers, in my eyes. Neither of the two groups have personal knowledge.
