The Debate of God.

Thou art That
Still seeking to lose 'yourself'....I see.

And if you persist, you probably will.
And then as if you were never born...no one ever think about you...ever.
Oblivion.

So the breath you have been given and the life you have lived was a wasted effort.
No point that you ever did exist.
You seem intent on dropping everything.

And apparently you will.

Heh...heh...heh...do you honestly think to drag this skin-encapsulated ego, this has-been that has not yet 'become as little children', into Paradise? That you would even consider contaminating the pristine Present with the past? Better that it undergo the crisp-trip with nary a trace.

"We ain't gonna take you
Never did and never will
We're not gonna take you
We forsake you
Gonna rape you
Let's forget you better still."

It's the end of the deluded self that thinks itself separate from them; the one that then goes on a journey of seeking in the cosmic Game of Hide and Seek, where it is the divine nature itself that is hiding from itself in the form of the seeker. It is the Awakening into True Reality from the Dream state in which we only think to be awake.

"That which you are seeking is what is causing you to seek"

So now there's Somebody Else and 'YOU' expect to meet 'HIM'.....?

There is no 'self' or 'other'. Never was. Never will be.

Who are these mystery characters you call "YOU", "HIM", and "Somebody Else" that you have in mind?

ah...there it is....your lack of faith.

There's no point in further discussion ....
except that your words might deceive a third party watching this unfold.

No God?...that right?
No Creator?...that right?
Nothing but a box in the ground for you?...that right?

Bingo! Sherlock Holmes does it again, folks! LOL!

Having faith does not make the mystery characters in question be real. So come on: who are they?

Perhaps you are a victim of multiple personalities? ...just sayin'...

Did I say there was no God? No creator? All I said, Thief, is that there is no self or other. Maybe you just don't understand what that means, in the same way you fail to understand how becoming as little children qualifies one for entry into Paradise. Come to think of it, there are are lot of things you fail to understand, sloughing them over and ignoring the questions about them.

Are you still terrified of the box in the ground, Thief? You know what they do when they find out what you are most afraid of, don't you dearie? Heh...heh....heh....enjoy your stay down under, Thief. They only let you out once the screaming stops...ha...ha...ha...ha....
:D

(BTW, when you're down there screaming in the graveyard with all the other Christians of similar fate, your group chorus will serve to lend comfort to one another. You know. Safety in numbers, and that sort of thing. So shout as loud as possible to pretend it's all just a bad dream, because it is.)

Come now, Theifie. The conversation is just beginning to get interesting. Don't quit on me now that we are at the Gates of Paradise. Why, God might change his mind and send you down the chute never to be seen again. This may be your Golden Opportunity, my boy.

Now don't chicken out and give me that:

"Hello, I must be going, but I only came to say:
I hear my mother calling and I must be on my way!"

Well, I suppose The Guitar CAN be seen as God, and so worshipped. Don't know much about the religious rituals in question, however.

"I am the Lord, Your Guitar! Thou shalt have no other Guitars before me, especially those Chinese and Japanese knock-offs!":slap:

"I am the Chord, the Notes, and the Rhythm. No man goes to Guitar Heaven but through ME, you heah?"

Now you make gesture as if you've gone mad.

If there is no personality beyond this life there are no children in heaven.
No God.
No heaven.
Nothing but a dead universe.
Except for the 'delusional' still breathing.

And there is no safety in numbers.
During that last hour...you're on your own.

Thief, use your noggin: where did Yeshu tell you that Paradise was located?

During that last hour...you're on your own.

Oh, no! Millions will come flying out of their crypts and graves, body and soul, to assemble for Judgment Day, bones 'a janglin' in one raucous cacaphony:

"Uh...excuse me, sir...but I DO believe that's MY metatarsal you've got there!"

Nothing but a dead universe.

Dead universe? Shhhhh......listen......just listen.....to the Silence....and you might....just might...hear the thunderous sound of One Hand Clapping!

It kind of doesn't matter if God exists or not, and the more reason not to pray or bother God in any way. If God exists, I imagine he wants us to work all our problems using our intelligence. On the other hand, God not interacting with humans on personal or national levels could mean that God doesn't really exists, because it could be just a product of human imagination.

Whether God exists or not*, do you suspect you have the potential to reach higher states of consciousness which would bring real lasting happiness for you in this lifetime?

*If God is an Absolute, he would neither exist, nor not-exist, as that would confine him to the dual world which is relative.

My personal definition of "higher state of consciousness" is to know, and experience everything the universe has to offer. Then, I'd imagine the next level of being, is of a different state of consciousness. It's not something I truly believe, but it's something that could make sense, at least to me.

...real lasting happiness for how long? One person might hate the challenge of life, but another might love it. Any happiness, no matter how real, is temporary anyway.

If horses could fly, everybody would have one. What if God is not absolute, but relative to human imagination?
How do you know that reaching higher states of consciousness would bring real lasting happiness? Have you reached it? Or do you personally know anybody who did?

YOU are 100% part of the universe, so what you are describing would come from inside you. It's just that you are only realizing a small part of your overall potential, as you restrict yourself with the limited mind.

...real lasting happiness for how long? One person might hate the challenge of life, but another might love it. Any happiness, no matter how real, is temporary anyway.

Notice I said 'lasting' happiness; that means non-temporal and enduring. Most of us experience relative joy and relative sorrow, but not Absolute Joy. That is available in the state of Higher Consciousness, transcends both relative joy/sorrow, and has no opposite. It has no end because it is not bound to Time.

If horses could fly, everybody would have one. What if God is not absolute, but relative to human imagination?

By definition, God would necessarily be the Absolute. Otherwise, It is not God.

We all are enlightened, but only some realize it. I can say for certain that it is absolutely real. Once you have experienced a taste of it, it is in your mind day and night, as this ordinary reality simply cannot compare, at least the way we are conditioned to see it. The key is to try to see that this ordinary world is, in fact, none other than the miraculous itself. For most of us, however, our social indoctrination keeps us unrealized and in the dual state of joy/suffering. The Buddha reached the highest state of development, called Supreme Enlightenment. There are many levels.

THE HEAD

Only a palace with interior doors
Well painted well gargoyled with multiple floors
Two windows let free this projector machine
and the magical world here appears on the screen
My servants attend me with tricks of the senses
The past and the future and similar tenses
and on platters of air they convey me my measure
both gladness and sorrow, I lack not for treasure

The lord and his lady are seated within
In the court of the mind where the song does begin
The song is as fine is as fine is as follows
The song does continue through measureless hollows
that sink from the level of personal being
through caverns of darkness where dragons
are dwelling

The mountains above them are raised at my calling
Where the apples are ripe or the rain is a-falling

In ships of white vision I sail the horizon
where three spinners stand beyond the
horizon under the tree of the apples of beauty
I watch them arranging my days and tomorrows
The song is as fine is as fine as it follows

I stood on the beach where the moon was a-curling
Laughed on the wings of the sea birds calling
I loved when sweet Venus a lover did bring me
I cried when sweet Saturn and Jupiter moved us
and all of my servants were fighting their brothers
And the lord and the lady they hated each other
Till the spinners arose with their work on their fingers
Commanding the presence of Heavenly singers
That spoke of the silence so soon to be coming
When all would be still in the wonderful palace
The peace is not stillness but peacefully changing
This hope is the hope of the man on the gallows
The song is as fine is as fine is as follows

The infant I was in the womb of my mother
White sperm I was in the loins of my father
Before that I swam in the oceans of nowhere
Where the fish are as fine as the colour of colours
Where waves are the message of centuries rolling
Where wind is the breath of the Holy Creator
Where no ship sails but only the ocean
Where all the rivers grow mighty with showing
And crowned with the gifts of the myriad valleys
Return with a sigh to the sea of the coming
Forever and ever and ever and ever be glad O be
Glad for the song has no ending

If God is Absolute in the terms you use then any connection with this God is suspect. You present a an existence where lies are truth and truth is lies, an existence where we know everything and nothing.
