If its transparent how do you know it's gold?

It must make bridges and floors a bit disturbing. What about being on the top of the transparent borg cube? I'd get dizzy.
What about looking up peoples skirts? Or does everyone in heaven wear pants?

Seriously that sounds bizarre.

If you want a real description of heaven, listen to this account.

This is a 92 minute talk given around 10 years ago,

He (Jesse Duplantis) was carried into heaven, "in the spirit".

Jesse Duplantis - Wiki

Here's a link to the book that goes into more detail. I haven't read it. Heaven: Close Encounters of the God Kind: Jesse Duplantis

Here's the Google video of Jesse Duplantis' encounter with heaven, based on what he's written in his book, "Heaven: Close Encounters of the God Kind".

He was carried into heaven for 5 1/2 hours.

There is also privacy, but nothing is hidden from the Lord, that's what I'm trying to get at.

I couldn't describe every aspect of heaven in a few posts.

I've read so many accounts of those who have actually experienced heaven. They describe the grass and flowers as being transparent.

There is another book that is a great description of Heaven.

This person is LDS and there are many others like her, who have seen heaven, as the result of an NDE (Near Death Experience).

There is a book that she wrote almost 20 years ago which describes Heaven very well. It's called "Embraced by the Light". Next to the Bible this is one of my most treasured books and one of the few I will actually keep forever.

You're still thinking in terms of this mortal life.

All who are Christ's at his coming will receive perfect, healthy, disease, sickness free beautiful bodies.

Even those who are not Christ's at his coming, will eventually receive a perfect immortal body, one that is not subject to death, disease, sickness, etc.
And you fail to understand that I do not want to be someone/something I am not and that is EXACTLY what I would be (someone else) if your prediction is accurate.

I am not interested in the perpetual daylight.
I am not interested in perpetual life.
To become so in either case would mean I am not me but someone else.

thanks, but no thanks.

Fast foward to about 35 minutes, on this Google video, and you'll get a detailed description of heaven.

Mountains (with snow), yet there is no such thing as cold there, streams, trees, flowers, grass, cities, houses, furniture, etc.

This earth is patterned after heaven.

It's not all gold, pearls and gemstones.

Listen to this detailed account. I cannot describe it like he does because I haven't experienced it.

I completely understand and respect that and the Lord does not want to force anyone to do anything they don't want to do, be or have. Everyone has different desires for their eternal lives.

Hey, while there are a bunch of people here who have obviously given this a lot of study and thought, I'd like to ask a question. In heaven, will there be evil, sin, suffering or death?

FFH, I know this is going to hard for you to believe, but for once I agree with you. :D
When I read that question, I thought to myself, I don't often get an easy question like that, and i wondered why someone would ask that, but we forget that scriptures like these are not in the Bible.

3 Nephi 27: 19 (Book of Mormon)
And no unclean thing can enter into his kingdom; therefore nothing entereth into his rest save it be those who have washed their garments in my blood, because of their faith, and the repentance of all their sins, and their faithfulness unto the end.

The description sounds less than "heavenly".
There is no night there. Sleep is a condition of mortality. Immortal bodies do not require sleep. There is no night in immortality.
No night? Sounds horrible. No brilliant stars to look upon, moonlight glistening off the water, fireflies blinking against the dark curtain of the sky. Night is beautiful. Not to mention sleeping is a wonderful thing. Dreaming can be such an enjoyable thing to do. Who would want to give up sleeping and dreaming?

Immortal bodies are always clean, there is no such thing as dust or dirt, as we know it, in immortality.
Baths are not all about dirt. Sometimes taking a nice, hot, relaxing bubble bath is just about pampering. Also, sometimes getting dirty is FUN. Hiking, camping, heck...just running barefoot in the grass is joy in and of itself.

Food is not required to sustain an immortal body. God miraculously creates food for our enjoyment, if we so desire, no need for restaurants.
No need for cars, as we think, so are we there.
The above go with the below:
Entertainment, learning, different types of work, etc. are all part of an immortal life.
If there are different types of work then why not restaurants? People like to cook. People like to gather with friends to eat for entertainment. So how do you know there would be no restaurants? Seems a pretty absurd statement considering your one about work and entertainment. And as for entertainment...why not cars? Some of us LIKE driving cars. Going for a drive to see the sights or simply for the enjoyment of driving. So again...absurd.

Really, your entire definition is rather absurd. To claim that it is a place of such joy and so on and so forth and yet go on and say that there will be no this and no that...when those things you so easily toss to the wayside bring MUCH joy to MANY people. Honestly, the way you describe it, I don't know of many people that would ever WANT to go there. I know I wouldn't at all.

You're right, whatever you want, so shall it be done unto you.

If you want to cook, drive a car, take a bath, etc., I would think that the Lord would provide means whereby that could be possible.

Nothing is impossible with God, either on this earth or in the next.

So I agree, if we wanted to take a bath, look at the night time stars, take a hike, go fishing, I'm sure that could be arranged in heaven.

Everything we enjoy here should technically be available in heaven.

Thank you for correcting me.

If we bowl on earth, we should be able to bowl in heaven.

If we eat on earth, we should be able to eat in heaven for our enjoyment.

All good points to ponder.

Why cant there be evil in heaven, don't we have free will in heaven? Imagine that I go to heaven, would it then be impossible for me to do something evil?

Great question.

I think by the time we get to that point, evil becomes something that we KNOW will bring us harm, and we KNOW all the evil affects of sin, and avoid it at all costs.

Our eyes are opened to the truth and we no longer desire sin and are no longer tempted.

I think we should look into the question, "Can we be tempted in heaven".

Satan and his angels are not allowed there, so how could we be tempted to sin ???

I don't think it's even a possibility, but definitely something worth looking further into so we can verify that.

Christ tells us in the Book of Mormon...

Alma 11: 37
37 And I say unto you again that he cannot save them in their sins; for I cannot deny his word, and he hath said that no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven; therefore, how can ye be saved, except ye inherit the kingdom of heaven? Therefore, ye cannot be saved in your sins.
