I do not understand the story of The Golden Calf, if Aaron was a prophet why did he let them make an idol while Moses was gone? I would think that Aaron would know that making a idol was wrong since he was a prophet. How come nothing happened to Aaron when he was apart of making the idol? Is this another contradiction in the Bible that makes people believe that this story is only for moral value, not something that really happened?
Weird isn't it? There are all kinds of stories in there where someone should have paid for their crimes - but they remain YHVH's chosen.
He was the leader in charge, - he made it himself ,- He had them dance around it naked, - and he lives, and they die.
Exo 32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto
Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
Exo 32:2
And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.
Exo 32:3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears,
and brought them unto Aaron.
Exo 32:4
And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Exo 32:5 And when
Aaron saw it,
he built an altar before it; and
Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.
Exo 32:25 And when Moses saw that the people were naked;
for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:

Another one is the Moses, Aaron, Miriam, story.
Aaron and Miriam call out Moses for going against the word of YHVH, by marrying an Ethiopian woman.
They are chastised by YHVH - not Moses, - and only the female, - Miriam, - gets punished by being turned leprous.
Num 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
Num 12:9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
Num 12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle;
and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
Num 12:11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
*
Or King David, - sleeps with someone else's wife - a death sentence by Law, then he murders the guy, - a second death sentence, but instead he is YHVH's chosen.
*
Or the tribes that committed genocide against one of the tribes, to the point where they didn't have enough broodmares - er "women" - so they commit a couple more crimes - Murder of the people whom didn't come up to the war - so they could steal and rape their virgins, then kidnapping and rape of the Shiloh Temple, to get more virgins to RAPE, - and nothing happens to them.
Jdg 20:48 And the men of Israel turned again upon the people of Benjamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword, as well the men of every city, as the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they came to.
Jdg 21:1 Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpeh, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter unto Benjamin to wife.
Jdg 21:3 And said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel?
Jdg 21:7 How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have sworn by the LORD that we will not give them of our daughters to wives?
Jdg 21:8 And they said,
What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And, behold, there came none to the camp from
Jabeshgilead to the assembly.
Jdg 21:9 For the people were numbered, and, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead there.
Jdg 21:10
And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children.
Jdg 21:11 And this is the thing that ye shall do,
Ye shall utterly destroy every male,
and every woman that hath lain by man.
Jdg 21:12
And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.
But there weren't enough virgins for every man to RAPE his own, - SO --
Jdg 21:19 Then they said, Behold, there is a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.
Jdg 21:20 Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying,
Go and lie in wait in the vineyards;
Jdg 21:21 And see, and, behold,
if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and
catch you every man his woman of the daughters of Shiloh, and escape to the land of Benjamin.
Jdg 21:22 And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his woman in the war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty.
Jdg 21:23 And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them women, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them.

There is a ton of this type of crap in the Bible. Horrid men are YHVH's own.
This tells me the Bible was written by men, for men.
God has nothing to do with it.
