Your being silly, read again what I said.

No you said do as Romans do. So if the culture has discrimination as part of it you should follow the culture. I was just showing how your principle fails when you are put in such a situation rather than you putting another person in it. You advocate cultural assimilation not integration. Sorry if you can not spot the obvious in your own comments.

You also demand silence if a person sees an issue with a culture. So if I were to become a citizen of KSA I should never speak up about it's human rights abuses because..... culture...

So:
You seem have an undeveloped, black-and-white, law-and-order sense of morality; and a fear of novelty, the unfamiliar, and the unpredictable.

Lawrence Kohlberg's stages of moral development - Wikipedia
Level two:
Just, no. Pop/arm-chair psych doesn't work, and Kohlberg's morals are not accepted as definitive, concrete, or universal within the field. Actually, there are probably more today that reject it than those who accept it, including a number of prominent biologists and neuroscientists along with legions of anthropologists, sociologists, and psychologists.
I'd rather read the study myself, because I have an itch that it isn't being entirely accurately represented.

I don't think so, and even if they did, they are still breaking the law, and you have no idea of the trash that may also come in, its not worth the gamble.
The gamble is well worth the risk. Using ourselves as a standard, these people are so often just happy that what they have here is so much better than what they came from that they don't want to risk it, making it more likely you'll problems from one of your own native-born citizens than an illegal immigrant.
Do both punish employers and stop illegal immigration. Illegal's are not beneficial to the country no matter what you may think.
Whether you want to accept it or not, we have a net gain from them. Granted our benefit is their exploitation, but even though they know they are being taken advantage of they still stay.

None of these industries depend on them. They are just like any other low wage worker, replaceable.

No it isn't. It is characterization that confuses unskilled labours with being the same as immigrants. There are millions of legal unskilled labours in America to replace them.

The only point you have is if all these illegals were deported the industry would have issues until it's work force was filled. Nothing more.

I have no need I am not an unskilled labour nor is the pay enough for me to quit my current job. There are millions of people to take their places. It happens in low wage jobs.

Advocating for people to not change a culture is to demand people do not use their own cultural view points in the public sphere. You should be focusing on values and law not culture. Cultures changes....

So, basically, your argument is to put your fingers in your ears, stick your tongue out, and go "blah, blah, blah, blah."

But when immigrants in meat packing plants or picking crops have not been available, employers have frequently found it impossible to fill the jobs with American workers, even when they offered bonuses.

The point I responded to was about the so called dependency an industry has on it's low wage work force which by it's nature is replaceable.

To answer your question. Yes I do understand. When I was a teenage those were the only jobs open to people without qualifications or a highschool diploma. Hence why school was important which i quickly figure out with my $8/hr CDN 2 decades ago. Also my father was a farmer......

So? You were talking about illegals not legals. If legal immigrants fill these jobs then the so-called dependency on illegal is a fiction as I pointed out. If an industry depends on illegals to be successful that is a problem of the industry. Hence why companies relocate.
