Now that I'm provoked to write, that passage from Daniel strikes me as saying about the same thing as other Bible passages and other scriptures do. One way of saying this is "Man-made world will end. God-made world will arrive." And this is echoed by ideas of Maitreya, Kalki Avatar, Jewish Messiah although in each there's a notion that their religion will become universal which I don't buy.

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Jesus Christ - the Prince of Peace. LOL ......not according to Daniel lalalalal 2:44.

Which one do I believe in? Oh, let me see......hm........Jesus the Prince of Peace. Believing that one, I can't believe the other one.

Let's just call it MATH.

Let's look at it another way.

What kind of people will God's Kingdom attract if Daniel 2:44 says what YOU say it says?

Go ahead, think.

Wandering around various web sites after a search on that title, I found one which reinforces my notion that the Bible is not to be read as being unadulterated over time. Or to unwrap the negatives, that the Bible has been altered accidentally or deliberately over time. List of New Testament verses not included in modern English translations - Wikipedia

It is not just what was omitted it is what was changed and it is a study based on the study of old copies. Since we do not have the original or for that matter a copy of the copy of the copy of the original. Not negative, just a book by one who studies such things

How does this not mean war between Heaven and Earth?
There's an old song about something very earthly that I like because it's one way of answering "We'll make heaven a place on earth". But I think you're right in one sense because the man-made world struggles to prevent it from being superseded. To me the media is doing a fine job of chronicling that struggle from the man-made world's point of view. Very few pay attention to the "thief in the night" God-made world slowly and quietly coming to life.

In other words, the book confirms my bias with carefully researched details.

Those who believe in the power of love, the freedom of joy, the value of peace. I like the way C. S. Lewis put it when describing what he called "pity" in "The Great Divorce":

'And what is the other kind--the action ?'

'It's a weapon on the other side. It leaps quicker than light from the highest place to the lowest to bring healing and joy, whatever the cost to itself. It changes darkness into light and evil into good. But it will not, at the cunning tears of Hell, impose on good the tyranny of evil. Every disease that submits to a cure shall be cured: but we will not call blue yellow to please those who insist on still having jaundice, nor make a midden of the world's garden for the sake of some who cannot abide the smell of roses.'

And to put it into an image which also to me speaks about the transformation:

LOL. Seriously? A crushing blow to oblivion speaks to you of Love? I don't see it.

If Daniel 2:44 says what I think it might have said then the people who are attracted to God's Kingdom are they who aren't for winning but are for God's will be done, win or lose. That's me.
