Nah, just another complaint to air, because if it's here now it is not the future. It is the present. Quit doing it. Like misusing literally and using acronyms without writing what it stands for the first time. About as much as I hate a singular use for they, which I really hate when it gets used for people that are he or she and it's definitely know.
Speaking precisely matters and erasure is never good.
Futuristic wasn't misused.
Definition of futuristic | Dictionary.com
Excerpted...
adjective
1) of or relating to the future: a futuristic view of the world.
2) ahead of the times; advanced: futuristic technology.

Just made a batch of homemade pesto for dinner. Sure it's cheap enough to buy but how do i tell manufacturers how much garlic and parmesan to mix in with it.

Anyway thats a delicious winner

Store bought pesto sauce has too little garlic, & too much oil.
The taste always seems off.

But it's not the future if it's in the present.
It's like "gourmet" food and how it gets over-and-wrongly used.
"Futuristic" describes a design from an imagined future.
Once again, ya gotta use a dictionary, much as that pains
everyone in this post-dictionary age.
