Mid life crisis?
Divorce. Money was tight at the time and there was no one to complain. I'd never had long hair before, so I thought what the heck and let it go.

I had no idea what a pain in the butt it is to have long hair.

When I finally got it cut off it was down to just above my beltline. It looked like they had killed a geriatric squirrel and left the carcass on the floor behind me.

No problem Bear. At least I'm useful to someone for something. Got that going for me. That and my killer good looks.

Hippy....I never let it get past my mid back.... and I got a biannual haircut...with associated beard and moustache trimming....but I was not yet married.....

I even had a job. I still do, but I also had one. In science they never seemed to mind.
