Yup, end of spring. I'm just not keen on being on a floating petri dish.
I've never been on a cruise, but there is no easy way out once you start. That's for sure.

I spent some portion of the pandemic in regular and prolonged contact with an ever-changing string of the public and nothing happened. Lucky I guess. But I don't like pressing my luck.

"Unfortunately, the cheeky blackbirds who live at Cotehele have jumped the queue and eaten all of the cherries in the orchard," a post on the official Cotehele - National Trust Facebook page reads.

Laura Jarman from the National Trust said the birds cleared the cherries from all 80 trees in the orchard in the span of just a couple of days.

She said Catehele is still planning to host an apple picking event later in the year and hopes to hold a cherry picking event next summer, if the blackbirds allow it.

Cheeky birds.

Early lunch after making a banana loaf which is cooking in the oven. Eating a ham and tomato baguette while sitting on the veranda in pleasently warm conditions. Sparrows and blue tits are sweetly arguing on who takes control of the bird feeder. And hubby has just made a rather excited suggestion. Lunch over with win...

It surprised me, I was expecting to see a lot of birds. I've been talked into doing a cruise to New Zealand in November, hopefully I'll see something interesting there.
Cruise = bad news...but enjoy yourself

I loath cruises, the entertainment is 3rd rate holiday camp style, you are forced to commune with people you probably don't like, any ports you stop at are limited in time before the ship sails again. and although the food looks beautiful it's often a pig with lipstick.

I hope you fare better
