Hope only exists when someone is not satisfied about something - in the clutches of craving. When nothing is wanted, hope is abandoned as unnecessary.

Or if you run into t bear cave.....hope is then abandon

Nonsense. I can hope that the bear is not hangry. I can hope that the bear will accept my food offering and let me leave. I can have a very painful disease and hope that the bear puts me out of my misery. There's ample scope for hope in that situation.

Perhaps you're more capable with BOS Finder
running under MBOS 7.0 as a DOS application.
I don't have or know MicroCobol anyway.

Most doubtful that I'm capable in antique databases but all the ones ive know will save (or export) in ASCII and import ASCII

Reminds me of the joke form the newest magnificent 7 movie..... a guy fell off a roof and as he fell he was heard saying so far so good

Typical engineer....Db2, or Database 2, is a set of relational database products built and offered by IBM....ya ninny
My software was from BOS National,
a British company. (No IBM software.)
It allowed me multi-user multi-tasking
back in the 80s. The property managing
software I used (PMS) ran on nothing else.
But it was portable, & ran on IBM, Apple,
& DEC computers. I currently run it as
a DOS app under Windows 98 Release 2.
(Won't run on later Windows.)
I have no support for my software or
BOS operating system.
