Deranged day. My wife is supposed to use Google Meet for a call tomorrow because for some reason Zoom is not acceptable. Except it does not work. We see each other and she hears me but I don't hear her.
And of course the IT specialist in the house, me, has a priority one trouble ticket from the most important user, her, to fix the problem. Now would be a good time but the problem is laughing at my attempts.

That's a good idea but I'm not sure the problem is on her end. Starting the program and testing the Mic shows it's being picked up by the browser. So the issue is between her browser and my computer. It could be my computer.
Ah ha, problem. Will it work on a 3rd device maybe your phone to test both comuters
AARRGGHH. Google meet does not have an override for the speaker like Zoom does. I finally realized that my computer setting is for headphones right now not the speakers. IT'S ALL MY FAULT. 10,000 head bangs on the desk.
