Last summer we had a hornets nest in our ceiling. They ate through the plaster and some came into the house. As we were trying to seal the hole i was stung 6 times around my head and face. I don't recommend it.
They were not murder hornets but pretty big (about an inch to anch and a half) nasty buggers.
An exterminator fixed the problem.

Winning with it finally being real winter.
Snow on the ground & trees.
0F (-18C) outside.
At least it's sunny, & there's no wind.
So it doesn't feel cold.

Mrs Revolt doesn't like my polluting wood stove.
But no complaints today.
(BTW, my wood stove is a spendy hi efficiency type.)

Yeah, that's real cold.
I prefer my semi-tropical climate.

Coldest temp I ever experienced was either -20F or -30F
as I vaguely recall. But that was nuthin compared to
snowboarding at -5F with winds so strong they pushed
me uphill.

I once had my car breakdown in -18c and hight arctic winds. A very nice, very effeminate gentleman allowed me to shelter by his fire until the AA* had fixed it

Thanx for the clarification.
"AA" means Alcoholics Anonymous here.
(AA is also a town in Revoltistan.)
"AAA" is the auto service organization.

One thing I've read about murder hornets is that they don't typically attack humans, unless you're unlucky enough to stumble onto one of their nests. They attack honeybees and are more of a threat to honeybee production.

Killer bees will also leave you alone if you leave them alone. If I see them, I just give them a very wide berth and keep my distance.
