Well, if it's the end, this song from my younger days kind of summed up my thoughts.
But when I woke up this mornin', could've sworn it was judgment day

Life is just a party and parties weren't meant to last
That's been updated- 2012 images but some are still accurate. And this update has a more hopeful twist. I think he should have updated the refrain as well but the last two verses are to me key:
