I've been watching Space 1999. I don't understand why we don't have any of that stuff even 25 years later.

Movie predictions about the future are never accurate. We were supposed to have a Moon Base and flying cars by now.

On the other hand, we're also supposed to be in some post-apocalyptic dystopia, trying to duck HK's and Terminators. Kyle Reese is currently serving under John Connor's forces fighting against the machines for humanity's survival.

Either that, or we'd be subsisting on Soylent Green. Scoops are on the way!

So, at least as far as sci-fi predictions go, I guess it's good that most of them are way off the mark.

We did almost get rid of: the 'Churchkey', car keys, the ability to purchase a starter home and the freedom to live in a democracy. ;)

I'm a pitiful sight, and I ain't all that bright
I'm definitely not chiselled from stone
I'm a cheat and a liar, no woman's desire
I'll probably die cold and alone

I'm a man of the night, a real ladies delight
See my figure was chiselled from stone
One more for the gal then I'll escort her home
Come last call, I'm never alone
I've a house on the hill with a red water bed
That puts Hugh Heffnor's mansion to shame
With girls by the pool and Italian sports cars
I'm just here in this dump for the game
