I am not trying to be condescending at all. I'm just merely asking a question. Badran acknowledged himself that the atmosphere of the Middle East right now fosters extremism and it's growth. I want to know when he thinks change is coming.

Change may come when the US stops interfering in the Middle East with their so-called ideas of 'democracy'!

When do you think New Orleans will grow out of this age of debauchery, lawlessness, and violence, and join the rest of the nation in the 21st century?

Perfect Circle no need for that. Badran is the one who acknowledged there is a problem. Maybe you should scroll back and read some of his posts.

Badran so when is the Middle East's reformation coming? That's the only thing I want to know. When is the Middle East going to come out of the dark ages like Christian Europe did 500 years ago?

I don't know if i'd call it dark ages....

However, we sure are in a bad condition. But i have no idea when are we going to become better and work through all the problems we have now. I'm not very good in reading through the events, or anticipating what is going to happen.

You are misrepresenting what Badran said. You suggested that the Middle East was in the dark ages. That was different than what you are claiming now. That is where people had problems with.

Falling blood can you pick someone else on this forum to constantly analyze and twist their words please? Thank you

Badran might be able to take your underhanded remarks better than most because he appears to be an incredibly calm, level headed person. But even if you don't realize it is, it's extremely condescending to ask when an entire region of the world is going to "come out of the dark ages".

Perfect Circle that's what people called it when Europe was Christian prior to the Reformation and Age of Enlightenment. Why is it okay to use it in one case, but not another? I am so tired of this political correctness garbage and coddling Muslims.

I am going to treat Muslims just like I treat other groups, and I don't care who likes it. I'm not going to treat Islam with kiddie gloves, seeing as I don't do it when I speak of other religions. I am not on this forum to please you.

There is one heck of a difference between Europe during the time of the Reformation and the Middle East now, and if you don't think so then you need to experience the world more.

Ever thought also that Muslims may be tired of the way you constantly dis the Middle East and their faith?

Tanuki I do not dis their faith, as for the Middle East, I call it like I see it, the Middle East is a hell hole where women are treated like animals and you have to conform to their views and beliefs or be punished. That has nothing to do with Islam. Islam and the political Islam of the Middle East are entirely different things.

"Dark Ages" is just terminology. It's not really historically accurate to say that there was/is a "Dark Age". Many places go through economic, political, and social decline for many reasons and it happens almost all the time in a variety of places.

I feel like what Perfect Circle said is spot on. It is somewhat rude to ask a question like that in that manner.

The same can be said about the South where you live!

Tanuki actually we haven't punished people around here based on religion for about about 100 years. I can't speak for other parts of the South. Louisiana is a pretty liberal state.

The thing is Yosef, the Middle East is not exactly what you think it is. Sure we have problems. But we are not one big country.

The problems you stated in the post in which you pointed out what's wrong with the Middle East, is only present in a few countries and not all countries. Women are not treated like animals in every country in the Middle East, only in a few.

Have I twisted your words? Not at all. You just happen to make a plethora of threads and remarks that I see as very incorrect. Especially when you can't really defend your position. I guess I just call it as I see it.

Badran well that's good. How are women treated in Egypt? Badran I hope you realize I'm not trying to offend you, but these guys are slamming me just for asking you questions. I appreciate your opinion on everything. They act like I'm supposed to treat Islam differently then I treat other religions. I question other religions with the same fervor, and I criticize other religions when they do things I think are wrong.
