For the time being, I wear my pentacle under my shirt and I practice my rituals alone. I understand the fact that people ::cough, cough, Christians, cough:: are very close minded and often misinformed. I wish you all the best and may the Mother Moon Goddess bring enlightenment to us all.
I know you are rather new to Wicca, but I think if you do end up sticking with it, that perhaps your animosity will die down. You will feel more comfortable with your faith and how people react to it. If the people around you aren't that knowledgable about it then it falls to you to be an ambassador of sorts. Your example will be their basis for how to judge the faith you profess as yours.
I wear a pentacle along with a Celtic Triquetra, have a pentacle hanging from my rearview mirror, and have a large bramble pentacle on my front door with a "welcome" sign on it. It's quite obvious to those around me that I am, at the least, Pagan. If they want to know anything they need only ask.
Also, as has been pointed out to you, generalizing Christians isn't fair. To generalize and stereotype Christians is to do the same thing that you complain of happening to you. It's kind of the golden rule you know? There are many many wonderful Christians on this very site that not only will
not preach at you that your beliefs are wrong, but think very highly of and respect the various Pagan beliefs. Some will gladly stick up for Pagans as well. Katzpur being one of them.
Perhaps this site will be good for you so that you will see that the ones that would look down upon you are the minority of Christians. I live in a very Christian area. right across the street from one of the dozens of churches in this small city actually, and I don't suffer any discrimination for my beliefs whatsoever. In fact, most people are quite nice, compliment me on my pentacle, and some even ask very nice respectful questions. Persecution is rare, especially when you truly own who you are and what you believe.
