Ok, so I've been wanting to start this thread for a while now but I never got around to it; so, here I am.

Being an aspiring author, I love to write stories. I would like to start one here on RF with the help of all of your great minds.
I don't care if it is serious or silly, fiction or non-fiction, SF or Fantasy, drama or horror, mystery or anything else in-between.
The ONLY requirement is that your post be a MINIMUM of 10 words, and a MAXIMUM of 30(sounds easy enough, but wait until the story really starts to pick up) and NO SIMULTANEOUS POSTING unless nobody else posts after you FOR 12 HOURS. And please post your section of the story in italics and Comic Sans MS to avoid confusion(I already know that people will be commenting so I want to be able to keep the storyline easily recognizable :D)
Sorry for the strict rules but I don't want this to be too easy.
I will post a cap of the entire story every 20 posts or so.

I'll start us off somewhere in the middle of a random event...



Breathing heavily, standing at the very edge of the fissure, Jane yelled "I can't see you anymore!". Taking out her flashlight, she fumbled for the switch, noticing the blood on...
