The average oak tree drops 200,000 to 500,000 leaves in the fall.... I have about 3 or 4 of them...I have at least 5 maple trees.... not sure how many leaves they drop...got about 10 locust trees....and a plethora of pine that drop pine cones....and of course those rassin frassin Chinese trees.cleaned the leaves up in my yard today....we use lawn bags in my neighborhood and they get taken away..... I have 41 bags of leaves at he end of my driveway.....and i didn't"t even do one of the 3 major tree sections.....
Bagging up leaves?
What an obsessive suburban type!
I just chop mine up by running the mower over'm for the final grass cut.....later this week.

At least you don't have any of those evil walnut trees....nasty they are.

I will do the same...next week...but to do that with what is likely over 20,000,000 leaves....there is no such thing.

My last house though..... just dump em in the woods behind the house

Humans are strange indeed.

Yes, yes they are.... I was thinking along those lines as I was doing all the yard cleaning. I was thinking "how very strange it is that we try and keep the outside and nature clean"..... which was followed by my next thought...."this is why I wanted to live in the woods... I would not have to do any of this"....Mrs Wu however fears the woods and prefers large cities...which I hate...therefore this area we currently live in...is a compromise.... also have to continually tell her..."No. we are not clear cutting the property

Mrs. Wu is weird. What isn't there to love about the woods? Especially for sleeping. I find the fresh outdoors air of "nature" to be some of the best sleeping air to breath. Provided you aren't sleeping on a bent-out-of-shape cot, picnic table, or freezing cold. But a comfy sleeping surface, pleasantly cool or warm air, and a starry night or pitch black, I never sleep better.

Well sure...if you want to do it WRONG!!!!! :D

There is mulching leaves and then there is turning your yard into a big 3/4 acer brown carpet of chopped up leaves..... that are going to blow into the neighbors yard.... then I have to listen to him whine about it

Grow up in China in a city that is 6 times larger that NYC...where the countryside is rather dangerous..... you too might be a bit uncomfortable in the woods.

I use to work in the woods, but she is not at all happy in them
