God may have done that. But the water district out here gave us cash to replace lawns with drought tolerant planting. The only grass left in our yard has been designated as a weed to be eradicated.

Where I live, copious water just rains down from the sky...for free!
We locals call it "rain".
Although lately it's become harder & whiter.
Then we call it "crap".

That happens out here. But since we live close to paradise, the rain comes mostly when it's cold outside, what passes for cold here, of course.

I just got a job as a case manager! Making tons of money for this area! They'll also help pay for my master's degree, so I may stick around here, and go with my original plan which will have me being one of the first to graduate from the school's psych master's program, with the benefit of help paying for it, and be far enough along with my transition that socially and legally (as far I'll possibly be able to, anyways) will be mostly done with and I won't be known as male where I end up moving to, and with my Master's degree in hand it puts Canada back on the lists of possibilities to move to.
And I get to spend more time with my larp group. Which has really become even more special, because socially it's helped me a lot, and it's going to be very difficult to leave the group behind. And because my character is starting to gain some political traction and is becoming a powerful battle-mage. And I'm going to be able to sink some more money into my costume. :D
