Dave Chappelle's new show on Netflix, when he started talking about the poor, rural, white people voting for Trump, when he imitated their accent I don't think I've ever been more glad that I lost that accent. I like being told that by the way I talk I don't sound like I'm from around here.
And the transgender jokes didn't bother me. Admitting he danced with a trans-woman, and offering to finish the dance when he found out, if he really had a problem with transgender people that probably would have been his "kicked her in the *****" punchline. And then he ripped on Rachel Dolezal pretty hard, and ridiculed her for treading into "trans-talk" despite her having not even changed her name to reflect how she feels.
The two episodes were good, but I think it's safe to say Chappelle's prime is in the past. Even I thought he was spending too much time on Trump jokes, though that may have been an overcompensation for having been wrongly labeled a Trump supporter. It would be nice if he's right though, and Trump is a wake up call to make things better in America (he segued into that by telling the murder or Emmett Till, and though a horrible and vicious murder it lead to a chain of events leading up to the Civil Rights movement).
