I think America needs a Federation party that is based on the values of The Federation. Just as long as it's the pre-new movie Star Trek movies that took place in that alternate universe that never learned women do a damn fine job on the bridge. But, with The Federation party, we'll move ahead, material want no longer exists, and things move ahead even further when we all work together instead of compete against each other.
And the sad thing is, even if it was just a party of geeks, as long as they voted they could easily take over all levels of American government. But I don't think a geek government would be bad. They read, they do math, they make stuff, and there usually pretty smart so we'd probably be in good hands.

I'd oppose it on the grounds that those skin tight uniforms won't work on most of us Americastanians.
