Me either, but I just learned that this evening.......... the Virginia Thanksgiving was about a year earlier and absolutely nothing like the Plymouth plantation Thanksgiving...the Virginia one was religious, no feast envolved
Yesterday we received an email from the mayor informing us that today a specialist company will be testing the village drainage system by injecting the main drain with smoke.
Fine.
Just after lunch a van appeared in the square. Removed a drain cover, fitted a smoke blower and started it up.
Fine.
A few minutes later our utility room, a bathroom and outbuilding filled with heavy white smoke. It seems those drains don't have a trap. The smoke from the bathroom and utility room spread throughout the house.
Half an hour later it's beginning to clear.
I'll remember next time to block up the plugs holes
