After being flatly turned down by the finaicnefolks of the state side of the house, User goes to corporate side finance and request software that cost roughly that amount you would pay for a Mercedes Benz, midlevel, e-class. They say...okie dokie.... note this was never run past IT at all.....
So now I get an email and low and behold he purchased it.......
Meeting this morning as to when can he get it installed
Well..... now it's my turn
After we purchase 3 new rather powerful PCs, since the required OS will not run on and PC we currently own
Upgrade the servers, to accomodate
Change Antivirus and firewall policies
set up and apply new OS policies, since this stuff will not run on and OS we currently run
end with...this is why you should run all software purchases past IT before purchasing..... lastly the drop the mic moment...and leave

This is the first I've heard of 11 being required for any package.
Microsoft is not our friend with the breaking of their "10 forever" promise and the throw away your hardware decision (or convert as much as possible to Linux).

It is confusing what was sent by the company say Windows Workstation...and there is a Windows 10 Workstation, although this is the first time I have heard of it. But you go to their site for tech specs it says Win11
Or to some the world is being turned right-side up. The process is disconcerting no matter one's perspective.

There's an arcade game, ancient Greek themed except for the last level which is Giger/Xenomorph themed. It's pretty weird playing an armored knight hacking down classic mythology monsters to suddenly hacking at facehuggers and the big xenomorphs in a world that made up mostly of bones.
Just keep their acidic blood off'n yer equipment, furniture, & floor.
