The idea was that you use Michelin tyres on your vehicle to drive to Michelin recommend restaurants.

It worked well enough, restaurant around the world long to get into the Michelin guide...

Restaurants use that tire guy to justify high prices
for goose livers damaged by forced feeding. I can
eat better food at cheaper restaurants.

Actually no, that tyre guy is used to denote fine dining... Something you seem to know nothing about.

Ironically, Americans are scared of anything that resembles "European decadence," but everything here is bigger and loaded with sugar. Hollywood is very decadent, but fancy people and fancy people things aren't the way to be.

If you're in another culture or country you've no right to complain. Like when I'm in the South and laugh at a scene involving someone with no knowledge or ties to it stumbling when it comes to the existence and usage of a lower case coke as a general term for soda. People should try to learn some before they go, and Southern coke and French snails are widely known about.
