I'm not old. I just went about 60 rounds with covid in one go and my body got weak and tired, and when it was done my recovery involved an injury.
And I don't know what's all wrong but today I found I can't sit at regular desk to use a computer without pain. And here I've trying to find an office job to hold me over till a get a job stabbing *****es. Driving also still hurts.
You're old...or more specifically..."middle aged"
with symptoms of being much older. This
explains your being mentally more mature
than others your age.
Do you often feel the urge to wear a hat when
you drive? Or yell at kids to get off'n yer lawn?

If it were a new Jaguar c-x75, that would catch my attention.
That looks even spendier than my new piece of scrap iron.
And it has zero room for cargo. Where would I put my
tools, microwave, beds, fridge, cribbing, traction mats,
boots, & toothpicks?
BTW those low sidewall tires would never survive roads
here. One pothole would destroy both rim & tire.

Thats a prototype, the real thing is going to be very spendy.

It's not a van for sure.

And the tyres are for track use, no potholes allowed

I am fancying such a toy.

Won't be on the market for a couple of years and i need to persuade hubby that we need a new car. And get rid of the family... Hmmm... Don't think its going to work somehow.
I want a Toyota Sienna.
Comfy frugal traveling....except for the purchase price ($50k or so).

We're getting by with a Pontiac Vibe that's worth only a couple thousand.
It's cramped, but it's reliable & cheap to drive. Can't justify the Sienna.
(Although I've paid far far more than a Sienna's price for a piece'o scrap iron.)

Toyota are pretty good cars, (but lexus are better)

A Jag is comfy, the most comfortable car I've ever driven, you don't drive one you wear it like a set of comfortable clothes.

My view, sell the scrap iron and buy the car.

Lexus is for you multi-millionaires.
We poor folk drive beaters.

Scrap iron holds its value, gives me more
joy, & pleases the masses who view it.

Reading through RF this morning and I find it interesting the number of arguments that are being made based on a definition that was changed to support the argument...... and yet not the actual definition.....

Admittedly the last Jaguar I drove was in the early 80s, and I can tell you, it was not at all comfortable and had virtually no foot room at all. Got my boot stuck under the break peddle while I was stepping on the gas... but I would not be surprised if things has changed a bit over the last 40 years....however in the states, they seem to depreciate faster than virtually any other import

Lexus for multimillionaires!? no, they are basically a high end Toyota. Lexus starts around $40.00 and goes to close to $80,000 depending on the model. Multimillionaires are buying more expensive cars than that. think Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz S class, BMW 8 Series....and of course Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ferrari, etc.

As for scrap iron, to each his own.....

I'm not (well i wasn't then and I'm not now) a multi-millionaire but we had an ls430. It was the first half decent car we could afford.

I dunno, a CX75 would draw crowds and please many but it won't hold its value like scrap brass, unless its kept in cotton wool for 50 years, then it would probably make you a multi-millionaire.

Yup, that's multi-millionaire territory.
Nothing a working bear should buy.

I don't know what those model #s mean.
But they sound spendy.

It's not recommended to drive old jags If you've got big feet.

Depends on the model as to whether they've improved the space. I needed a shoe horn to get into my old xkr. But it fit me like a glove. The F-pace we drive now is roomy...
