I'm exhausted from 3 days of intensive
machine moving. Mud. Long days. Mud.
Much driving. Mud.
And the worst...my helper for 2 days.
It requires caution & planning to manage
his feelings, calm his tantrums, & ensure
he doesn't **** up.
Example...
He was using a crescent wrench on a
socket head cap screw, which doesn't have
wrench flats. He kept trying & trying,
without wondering why it wasn't turning.
That's just the tip of that iceberg.
Had a helper at a garage I worked at once
Had him clean the windows in the garage door, which was basically all windows from floor to ceiling….. he had his window cleaning solution, the extendable handle sponge/squeegee. And he started from the bottom and worked his way up. The top row of windows were spotless. All the ones below…. Not so much

It's 35°F and raining. Expected low down to 29° tonight.

Good thing I got a fancy heater.

I had a similar problem. I told him to touch up the
white paint on buildings above the bottom course
before he painted the bottom course gray.
He wouldn't do it. Had to go back & touch up
the gray because of the dripping white paint.

My first job I was working as a painter for an insurance office. The owner complained we were too slow. One weekend he and his insurance agents go in and paint one office and stained the door frames

Then he proceeded to tell us we needed to be faster. After he was done I proceeded to show him all the stain splatter all over the walls and ceiling. Then explained to him that there are different shades of white and he had at least 3 different shades in that room. Then showed him all the dry wall tape that you could see because they did not put dry wall sealer down first

We had to redo the entire room

I managed a building for clients who wanted
to have their son & wife paint apartments.
To save money, the kids diluted latex paint with
paint thinner. This turned it into a useless gel.

Another client saved money by painting his
houses himself. After the tenants moved in,
I had my crew go thru to fix all the windows
he painted shut.
He also used speaker wire to run 110V circuits.
