Having green hair has actually made me more comfortable telling people I'm basically from Indiana, as it's serves a powerful signifier that I'm not the others from there people met. And I'm not. There I was the Assassin. Here I'm the Psychopathic Phlebotomist. Amd maybe the Joker association isn't a bad thing because they don't make 'em like me outside of the MidWest (they actually make them even crazier and weirder than me there).

The interesting odd people can or should relate to the Psychopathic Phlebotomist and feel comfortable when you say - stand read... you're about to be STABBED (and enjoy it)

My father owned a couple of Packards. The Packard shall rise again.
One or two of my computers have been HPs. Which is actually a chunk of them because I've only had 7-8 of them counting laptops. Which I guess makes it two or three of them because my second/last laptop was an HP.

The interesting odd people do. This is how I learned at least a few have been to jail/prison.
I may struggle at finding work, but freaks, outcasts, misfits and others just seem to tend to recognize each other. I think it works similar to how (there's research on this) those with mental illness tend to be better at recognizing it in others than those without a mental illness. I the friendships I suspect with better potential than with other as (again, there's research on this) those with autism tend to have better friendships with other autistics.
And it's amazing how it works that even when we are shunned and turned away we are so hardwired to be social that even loners who haven't had as much socialization still tend to recognize and gravitate towards eachother.

Yes! I tend to recognize my own, too. Which is strange, because I don't even have a label for my 'tribe'... other than "ah... you're like me." (Even if on the surface that doesn't seem true to outsiders.)

I'm not autistic, and I'm not mentally ill, but I would say I definitely bond best with other Weirdos... people I can let the eccentricities out 100% and not have to worry about it.
