And next time I set up one of these boxes, I am probably going to add an on/off switch and reset button, and set it up on my computer monitor because the letters are too small to read on my TV unless I'm right in front of it.

I am sooo happy. I do hardly any work, at all, and yet I can make $100 dollars for doing this, probably $110-$120 after this one depending on cheap I can find controllers for to bundle with it, and $150 if I ever get my own chassis designed for the hardware. Granted, I'm not making a huge profit off of these, but it'll be enough to quickly raise money for the consoles, which is going to be bring in mega-huge profits, up to three-times the amount I put into them.

Windows update is giving me erroneous errors again..... and here is a surprise...nothing Microsoft suggest works and their Mr Fixit program is, per usual, useless...

I think I'm done setting this up for now (though later I plan on adding the Playstation and PSP emulators). Once Kodi is done installing, I'm ready to try this thing out and see what it can do, and then show it off some v0.1 because I'm still learning it myself and because there are a few ways I can easily improve on the design of what I have. But for having just learned how to do this project a few days ago, I'd say I'm in good shape. Once I'm done with the design, I'm hoping to have a box that looks more like a video game console and would be worthy of a $150 price tag, because I wouldn't be making any money charging less by the time I get a proper chassis, controller, and all the wires to charge less.

The next person who walks into my office and asks if we allowed for voltage drop when sizing the main motor cables will be summarily farted on. They're 7 meters long! What $%#@ing voltage drop? Morons!

Did you allow for voltage drop when sizing the main motor cables?

Now I gotta know!

2+ hours later, and the same damn download is still going! At least I know what not to press this time, because this time I clicked the button that downloads and installs the packages for all emulators, rather than selecting the ones you want, which is what I had intended to do. Like the N64 emulator. I wasn't even going to mess with that because there are no decent N64 emulators, but it's downloaded and installed on the v0.1 of this machine.

What's the Reynolds number for your wires?

And now, too late to go show it off (it's 10:16 PM here), v 0.1 is at least functioning and usable right now.

I've decided to give Kodi a try on my PC to see it normally runs slow, or if it doesn't run the best on Raspberry Pi 3. The results are that it doesn't actually work that much better on my PC, and though my internet is fast enough to run Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, and other services, it struggles with Kodi. But, oddly enough, it as XBMP/XBMC, the program originally designed for the original XBox that would later become known as Kodi, runs the best for me on XBox and I don't have such an issue with streaming.
I also found that Kodi works much better when controlled through an android device on the Raspberry Pi rather than a USB controller or keyboard.
