The first showing of my box thingy, that is going to just stay a box thingy (it makes it easier to state I'm not an "official" business), went very well. The media player worked well at my brothers house since he has cable internet, which is non-existent where I live, and I got another buyer for a higher price. With the one I'm about to sell I just have to program the controller I'm giving with it into it, and it's off to become my first sale. I then I get to do this goddamn long *** process again. But after I few sales I'll have enough to treat myself some and jump start the repair side. Although I'm tempted to start off with a stack of Playstation 2s because I heard some people saying it's what they'd be looking for.
But what I am really not looking forward to is writing the instruction manuals for all this, but I planned on writing everything as I do it and hopefully be able to sell repair guides (make it kinda like that one brand of books for car repairs that has everything in it).

Great, in that case, maybe one of you could explain to me all you know about our new network security appliance......
Okay...bring everything you know about your new network security appliance thingy into your mind...got it? Okay, multiply it by 200...got it in your mind now...okay, that is EXACTLY what I know about your new network security appliance thingy...

My advice: install, and start clicking on the menu buttons to find the tutorial...

Here is all I know about it......
The bacteria which gives Limburger it's pungent smell is the same one which contributes to the smell of stinky feet.

Well, I cannot dispute that, however it has absolutely nothing to do with the new network security appliance....

You know what.....I think I am going to go break it, then fix it, then I will likely understand it better..... that ill learn em'

This is your strong suit.
Bears are good at breaking things.

If you only had opposable thumbs (or claws), you guys would indeed be the master race.

Didn't I say I got nuthing? Sure sounded like what I said!
Yeah, breaking and fixing sounds like a good step. That, along with "reboot" if something isn't working. And checking the power cable and other connections...

Will it be ok if I bring the entire network down in the process? ....it is a possibility

Okay is one of those value judgments that you have to decide for yourself...:confused:o_O:eek::rolleyes:

The university's IT department tries to do things like at, for example, 3 am on Sundays, because if something screws up, very few people will be affected and they will have time to regroup and fix problems. And there have been times that part or all of the system has gone down during regular business hours...usually it isn't for long, but they have had to reboot things before...

I just watched a guy back into a car in the parking lot of the coffee shop, get out and inspect the damage he did, and then drive away. I did manage to get a great picture of his license plate for the owner of the Ford though. She seemed grateful.

So... you're saying its ok to crash the network.....

My new Felco 231 limb loppers arrived today!
I immediately went out to an hour of cutting.
Those things are great....way better than the cheapies at Lowe's & elsewhere.
