You've obviously never met my first Mother-In-Law. Now there was a mean JW. :cover:

Most JWs are pretty nice, but last year we had a visit from a lady who kind of condescending. She didn't like it that I pulled out a different translation than the New World Translation- and didn't waste any words to say so. She also said that Christmas (which is when she came) was a waste of time.
I think Mormons are much, much nicer when they come to your door. :)

It's been a while. I've been avoiding the Internets mostly. xD

Hearing someone say the N-word in reference to how it's no longer socially acceptable took me aback the other week.

And something else I forgot. Something!

Watching videos on bad cops. So far, a cop arresting a firefighter and cops beating up a man who called them after finding his son had committed suicide.

Seriously, what the hell? Can cops be arrested?

Hey Carl, what if I knock on your door one day and tell you something about the Catechism of the Catholic Church?:p
I'd be interested in what you say? :p

Wow, that's kind of scary. Maybe I just subconsciously associate JWs with polite old people. Plus, there's the added meanness of being the in-law.. although my in-laws love me. :D

It may be the lack of drug use that makes some people act the way they do ;)

I prefer to get them professionally waxed... it stays longer, and much neater than anything I could ever attempt, lol.
I wasn't suggesting you try to do this if you've never done it yourself before.
I don't know how much waxing eyebrows cost but to get professional threading done, around here, is $5 a brow.

HI westy! I may be wrong but I don't think that was aimed at anyone in general.

You have no clue the judgment and criticism that poured forth from this woman. And not just towards me as the daughter-in-law, but towards her own teenage daughter. Aside from the repeated rants about birthdays and holidays being "Pagan" (she nearly spit that word), she criticized everything from clothing to conversations. Her 16 y/o daughter was exceptionally bright and was starting college and she was trying to put together some outfits for her first days (having been homeschooled this was her first real adventure into society really) and everything she tried on her mother insulted. I was there that day. When I would compliment an outfit she would tell me, dripping with venom, that I would like such trash, and would tell her daughter to change. The woman wanted her daughter to wear, no kidding, a pink frilly sweater with kittens on it and dark pink jeans to go with it. She wanted to dress her like she was a small child. She also went off on me telling me that I shouldn't comment on the clothing because I didn't dress right. She then went on to say I didn't behave right, I didn't believe right and I wasn't raised right. And I haven't even gotten to the story of her threatening to kidnap my daughter. Real monster of a woman.
