You have no clue the judgment and criticism that poured forth from this woman. And not just towards me as the daughter-in-law, but towards her own teenage daughter. Aside from the repeated rants about birthdays and holidays being "Pagan" (she nearly spit that word), she criticized everything from clothing to conversations. Her 16 y/o daughter was exceptionally bright and was starting college and she was trying to put together some outfits for her first days (having been homeschooled this was her first real adventure into society really) and everything she tried on her mother insulted. I was there that day. When I would compliment an outfit she would tell me, dripping with venom, that I would like such trash, and would tell her daughter to change. The woman wanted her daughter to wear, no kidding, a pink frilly sweater with kittens on it and dark pink jeans to go with it. She wanted to dress her like she was a small child. She also went off on me telling me that I shouldn't comment on the clothing because I didn't dress right. She then went on to say I didn't behave right, I didn't believe right and I wasn't raised right. And I haven't even gotten to the story of her threatening to kidnap my daughter. Real monster of a woman.
It is not hard to believe every word of this.

Well, after I got my divorce I lost complete contact with her, so I don't know how things worked out for her while she was still at home. I found her page on FB not so long ago and it looks like she might be a pharmacist now or something, but I haven't friended her to find out more. Didn't want to take the chance of my ex finding me through her.

I had Applebee's for the first time maybe a week or two ago. Steak was kind of tiny, looked more medium-well than medium, but I could be wrong. Anyway, to the point. I wanted apple pie, but instead of caramel sauce I wanted maple. Could they do that? No, it's against the système. So I said fine. Later, I asked another employee who might have been a manager: same thing. And the first guy thought I didn't want the pie anymore, so they didn't prepare it.

Anyway, point is, they get my friend's dessert, which comes with maple. In front of us, they pour the maple on top. I asked him to leave the little cups. When my apple pie came, I poured the maple on top right in front of them. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.

The pie was good. :D

Yeah. Don't worry. My sense of humor is pretty strange, too. And my sense of humor can be rather silly as well. :):) (People don't know when I am joking either.)

I just looked over the practice test for my first math test. I've never had this much confidence in math. All I have to do is get a %50 or better on all four test (which I should get a 100% on the first) for the homework and quizzes to get a C and I'll make the Dean's List for this Semester. However I need at least a B in math to get my GPA high enough to join the Honor Society. And since all my other classes will be easy A's for me, I am very hopeful I'll be able to do it.
I'm also excited that when I re enrolled, I went from a drop-out student with a 1.222 GPA to honors student with over a 3.5 GPA. And I remember there was a time when even maintaining a C average seemed difficult.
I also found this story from about a year ago when I was seeing what grade letter my old GPA is. You would be surprised what Google shows you when you type in your GPA.

 50% gets you a C? How does that work? When I was in college 77% was the lowest you could get and still get a C. Anything below 68% was an F.
